I keep the body matte and paint the eye lashes with a glossy sealer or also paint the ground of the eyelashes in kinda dark gray that you can still see them off from the black body =)

Also painted eye lashes on a G3 in a different color (like gold, silver or dark blue or green :D)

I guess you make eyes like you would on any other colored pony but need to find another color for the lashes and eyeliner. :)

Just one G4 from me. I went with bright liner/lashes on this one, but on other black ponies I've done silver.

This was my first ever custom, and my painting could have been better - the silver lashes are a bit thick.

I tend to add a touch of blue, red, or purple to slightly change the tone of the black without really changing its blackness. Or you could use a matte sealant and a gloss to draw lashes.

I wish G4 had more black ponies - it really makes all the other colors on a pony pop.

There are so many beautiful customs in this thread that I feel ashamed to post mine in the midst of such awesomeness  :blush:
But here's my Princess Galexia
The first (though hopefully not last!) space themed G4 I've done. I'm astronomy/space mad, so I love black poinies with a space theme  :mrgreen:
I have done a few G3's that are black too. With Galexia I did a purple eyeshadow and grey eyelashes (the pictures are useless though, so the eyeshadow looks awful and the lashes don't show  -_-)
Personally I prefer to do something like grey lashes as white doesn't tend to look right to me (as a rule, anyway). But you can still give them black lashes if you do a gradient-type eyeshadow on them :)

Oh Puuush, she's just stunning!  :inlove: I think I recall seeing her a little while ago on DA? I absolutely love ponies with nebulae on them :lovey: Sadly, for all my efforts, it's an art that is way beyond me :lol:
