Working Carousel WIP Thread (Finished Pics Pg. 12!)

Oh geez.  So... trip to Lowe's was sorta successful, I've decided to go with a 1/4" oak board.  We tested the music box mech past 6 pounds, so that was encouraging!  Two set backs, I just realized I designed those carousel poses going the WRONG direction ><  and the turning plate on the music box refuses to stay level, meaning everything is slanted.  Ugh!  I'm removing that piece and working on a substitute!

This is such an amazing idea! Please if you can get a video of the finished product for those of us who won't be able to attend the fair. I've always loved carousel horses and this looks like its going to be a wonderful project.

Each pony shall wear trappings like this.  The big empty circle will have their symbol in it.  The colors will be so different on all of them that I hope to keep their costumes similar to help with unity.  The green areas are reminding me that I need to shop for crystals of three sizes.  The will be fully sculpted, hair and all, b/c I think long term maintenance will be easier (no restyling once it's all attached!)

Thank you for the encouragement!  I took out the yellow pony and replaced her completely with a semi rearing pose.  The others just needed to be tweaked a bit.  They are in the process of reposing.
