Ebay buyer wants a full refund without returning my custom? (Finland shiping)

Ok I'm having an issue hear and I'm pretty sure I'm in the right however I would really like some input if anyone has experience with this.

So I have a customer who bought a custom just under a month ago and now they are saying it arrived broken- fair enough stuff happens some times. Normally I would just issue a refund after the item had been returned (as per my shops policy). However they are not wanting to return the custom because they are calming shipping from Finland to the US will be worth more then the custom- I highly doubt that.

If there's anyone one in Finland who could tell me how much a small 4oz box would cost to send to the US that would be helpful... I'm doubting its even near the $35 price for the pony :/

Did you ask for pictures to show the damage? Like are you sure it's not just buyers remorse?

They should return it though. If they were to open a dispute ebay/paypal would tell them that they would have to ship it back with tracking in order to get their refund. It's not right for you to be out for both the money and the item, your buyer should realize that.

I have no idea if its really broken or just buyers remorse- so far they are making excuses about why they can't get a photo... it seems fishy to me- that's why I'm asking for a little help.

As a seller myself, I would simply state that you have no problem providing a refund once they return the item. It's as simple as that. Like I said, they know that if they go through ebay or paypal for the refund they will be expected to pay for tracked shipping which is surely far more expensive and not worth it.

In this day and age there is no reason why someone can't provide a picture (cell, webcam, camera etc), it sounds like they are flaking out.

Hopefully someone can give you an idea of how much post is.

You're definitely in the right if you haven't even seen the damage. I'd ask for it to be returned before I refunded as well.

I agree! If it says in your shop that refunds are only given when item is returned, that is the policy. If they really want a refund, they will send it back. Best of luck!

No. I dont think it would be that much.
I have once shipped a normal G1 to US i think, and postage was about 5 €? Under 10€ atleast.

There are some finnish sellers here, who i hope will see this post and can confirm what ive just said.

I really hope you get this sorted out.
