Cuttlefish are such interesting animals.
One day I saw it and became inspired because they have such an intricate pattern. Not all cuttlefish have this busy pattern, but the one that did was really neat. When making up the pony I tried to copy & reapply that pattern to make it 'pony' instead. They're also really smart, see polarized light, tell lies, trick eachother, change colors, do puzzles and imitate other animals and items. It's rather sad that people eat them if they do all of that.

Since the pony is a different shape, the 'edge fin' that they wave to move is now the mane & tail.
The design has busy dots all over the fin, but bigger dots near the body
The wiggly lines are different sizes depending on where they are located
Oh their eye must be some pretty exotic color...nope...turns out it's just a silvery gray eye
The actual fish guy's pupil is a "W" shape

Nature is full of interesting designs.

You must have the patience of a saint! Truly impressive work. It would also make a stunning custom - if anyone was crazy enough to attempt painting such an intricate pattern!
