Looking for a very special type of custom.
« on: February 25, 2014, 12:45:59 PM »
Starting from the beginning.
On the 18th of February, I was told. I have 4 weeks to move out.
I've had a week, which, I've had no time to think, as its been nothing but work, work, work.
Last week, was the worst. News hit me like a bomb and literately cried to everything and everyone.
My family are moving country, and I can't go with them due to my job, horses, partner,  etc... I just can't.

But I haven't been upset over loosing my family, because my mother and siblings moved quite a while ago, and well, I haven't heard from her since.. she doesn't call or anything.

But no, again.

I have had my heart torn into bits!
I have to let my dog go...
It actually is the most painful thing I've ever felt, but I'm having to move in with my partner and his parents, but can't take my baby,,.. they have a cat, etc...

But I got told today, I have less that two weeks to move out now, meaning I have now alot less time to spend with her.
Before I leave, I'm going to give her a nice bath, take her for a walk, and cuddle her every night whilst we sleep. :3
My pup has fits.. and well, I once stayed up with her, till the crack of dawn!, just to make sure she was okay as she was having a bad fit one night that she just couldn't recover from!
There are times she hurts her back legs, she pulls her muscles alot, and well, like I said, has fits.
Its hearbreaking alone, just writing this.

But yes.. back to the customs.
I'm looking for a pony custom to remind me of her. Forever.

A little about her:

Name: Lilly.
Names I call her:  Lilly, Lillipup, Squishy, Fluffybum, Babygirl, Puppy, Fluffy, Squishy-pup... the list goes on!
Age: 5/6ish.
Breed: Mini-Dachshund
Hair type: Long-Haired
Colour: Mixture of dark/light brown, with a blonde tummy!

I'm going to keep one of her dog tags with me, on a bracelet, a necklace, something.. but I would like to put it on a custom pony so I don't loose it!
Also, I'm going to give her hair a little trim before she's off, but bag the hair,... (Like mothers do with babies..)

I'm looking to get something perfectly made to represent her, not to replace.
I'm looking for something that'll give me comfort when looking at it.

I know I should be currently asking in the commissions, but I was wanting to ask for examples of peoples custom works before I go ahead with it, because it needs to be perfect.

So I'm looking for example of::

Ponies that represent other things.
Brown ponies mainly.
Urm, I can't really think of anything else!
But feel free to show me! :D

I do have MILLIONS of photos of her, if needed!

But I would love this to be perfect, and I know it might cost a bit aswell, but then, you can't put a price on love...

Thank you!

Sending pony hugs your way.

I knew I forgot to mention a few things! Eh!

I'm looking for a Generation-One type pony.
I'm looking probably for just a standard size aswell..
Nothing HUGE, nothing TOO small... just something... JUST right!

But I one thing I WOULD love about the pony.. if the legs were short and stubby, like really out of proportioned to the actual body.. aha, doesn't have to be tho.. but little legs like like my lillipup. :3

But thank you x

Gosh that's a heartbreaking story  :(

I did something similar for buffy last year.
She commissioned me to create a little Beagle for her bf.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

Some questions:
Would you perfer an airbrush to painted or dyed?
Would you prefer sculpting or painting.
What sort of hair would you like to reroot and what rerooting method do you want used?
What sort of budget are you on?

If you are looking for short and stocky have you considered a g1 baby of dg fakie base?
I'm not really on here anymore. Email me if you need my for something.

Honestly, I don't really know the difference between airbrushed, painted, dyed, whatever. I've never actually ordered a custom pony before.. But I'm glad she'll be my first!
With sculpting, do you mean like a mold/clay pony? , I would personally prefer a plastic pony, that way an accidental of her getting broken would not even be of exsistance!
Again, I have no idea with the hair, choices, as I've never brought or considered a custom pony before..

And budget wise; I was looking for under £50 GBP tbh, but its gotta be PERFECT, for that!
Hope this helps... even though I'm useless!
 :satisfied:
