Its been 3 years and well over 7,000 after shocks since our devastating Feb 22nd Earthquakes which destroyed our city:

Yup, that whopping great Alpine Fault line... 2 huge tectonic plates colliding!  Fascinating stuff really.

sorry i couldn't watch the video, started crying before it really started.

breaks my heart every time i remember.
its good to know that the aftershocks are lessening.
prayers go out to the people and families that were and are still being effected by it.

Its good to know it has settled down a touch. I am in continued awe and respect for the people who stayed and rebuilt - it says a lot about the city and the country that you live through that and do not let nature take everything away.
