2nd Annual Metro East St Louis Pony Meet August 16th (guest list & food added)

Please join us for a day of pony fun! 

Okay all you St. Louis and surrounding area ponies. Are you all ready for our 2nd annual pony meet? We had so much fun last year we thought we should bring it back again this year! 
It will be held in Belleville, IL. again across the river from St. Louis. Same location as last year.
It will be a potluck again. We had such yummy food last year! Also, look forward to our wake a fakie and pony toss again this year!
August 16th from 10AM-?.

pony related gift exchange ($20 price limit)

Food!  Games!  Fun!  Ponies!  It's worth it, trust me.  I'm pretty much good for whenever except for the weekend of the fair and two weeks in May (I can't remember which two weeks though).  I can't wait!

I'm not sure if I can make it or not.  I'd love to!!!  My job is moving me out of state sometime this year.  I will probably be moving right after the fair but if I get the other job I'm interviewing for who knows when I'll be asked to move lol.  So it's up in the air which of the two southern states I'm moving to for sure and when for sure.  When I move I'll either be 5 or 7 hours away from Belleville. *eep*  That might mean I need to figure over night sleep arrangements if we get too tired to drive. hmm...

Depending on how far away I end up moving to and also the timing of the event I might still be able to convience my poor wonderful hubby to take me up there to meet with you all again!

I agree that it was really fun to have something else to look forward to after the fair... because I was still on like a "being in person-pony-high" type deal and then we had the meet and I thought the timing was great. Also I don't think we were as stingy with our purchases and trades because we had already gone to the fair, ya know? (Not that we'd be stingy, but if you were saving up for like... MOC Mimic, you may not buy anything before the fair because you might have a chance at buying her, etc...)

A decision has been made. Our 2nd annual pony meet will be Saturday August 16th. The third Saturday in August just like last year. Everyone's busy getting ready for the pony fair so this will let us prepare for the pony meet once the fair craziness is over. It also gives us something to look forward to after the fair.

I'm gonna say we make the boys (and other SOs who aren't directly the PONY PEEPS) have their own competitions this year, lol maybe we can get them some "special supportive SO" prizes haha

Kansas City's close enough to qualify me as "St Louis area", right?  Riiiight...   Keeping my fingers crossed that I can make it this year!  My past year has been absolutely insane and August should be right as things are evening out for me again, so it'd be great to celebrate with pony people!  (Also... for being in the Pony world for as long as I have been, I've *never* been to a meet or fair - this is super exciting for me!)

I have some pictures up there from the insanity, and then farther down Rhini posted some pictures AND some links to "whack-a-fakie" videos she recorded, lol.  It was a very exciting game

Also, people, have no fear.... THIS year, I am bringing our canopy tent thing for additional shade!  It's like a 12x12 or 10x10 or something like that and takes like 3 minutes to set-up.  Muhahaha.  I didnt' think of it last year or else I would've brought it - oops.
