Show me/ Tips for working with Breezies!!
« on: February 12, 2014, 08:31:50 AM »
I have a bait on my desk that I want to start on in a couple of days but I'm clueless on the in's and out's of these funny little ponies. I want to see your Breezie customs and hear your experiences working with them. I'm seeking information on how they come apart and how you remove/ replace their antennae. I have one little girl who just needs her antennae replaced and a donor who has chopped hair and no wings but still has her antennae.

I figure this won't be a very long thread; haven't seen every many of these cuties done as customs, so feel free to go nuts with pictures!! Here's my little girl that is waiting on new paint, new wings and some new plugs (Yay for NOT rehairing this time!! LOL) She's gonna be the Queen Bee of my Breezies!!!

I've only made 2 custom breezies and it was when I first started doing customs. I just did them the same way I would do any custom. Obviously their tiny, so pay extra attention to detail and have fun with it :)

Yayy!! Breezie customs!! :lovey: Thanks for posting the great pictures, ponies! I can't believe it's taken me this long to create a custom out of one of these cuties!!

My brain was only half awake when I posted this thread and I left out the fact that mostly I'm seeking information on how they come apart and how you remove/ replace their antennae. I have one little girl who just needs her antennae replaced and a donor who has chopped hair and no wings but still has her antennae.

Oh, the antennae should just pull out and pop back in. I'd do it before any painting if you can though because the plug thingy is pretty tight and squishes the head quite a bit getting them back in. Any you'll need to carve the little thing out over her back to get to her tail. And then that little thing, you can sometimes get the even littler piece inside the bigger thing to carve out too and the lace/whatever you are using for wings is supposed to go there. I have had issues with those having too much glue to come apart though, so then you can just stick the wings under the same bit as the tail.

I've done quite a few of these, this pretty much covers what you need to know.  The hardest thing is taking out that little tab that hold the wings/tail in, you'll likely need to use a utility knife for that.  Re-hairing them can be kind of a pain just because of how tiny the head/hair plugs are.  I have some taken apart around here somewhere, I'll see if I can get a picture sometime soon.  Here's some Windy Wing Breezies :).

I got a challenge for you customizers; when they come out, try to turn these plastic haired G4 breezies into something halfway decent! XD
