June-July finds!

Okay, so recently things have been slow for me in the pony hunt. I find it more of a challenge to rely on thrift stores than to go online and shop. Weirdo I know. However! It does pay off with some gems!

I recently went to London for the first time and found this bad boy: Thundercloud!

That's right! A UK Mountain Boy! Found him at a little toy shop on Portabello Rd.  He might have a few flaws, but there was no  way I was going to pass him up!!

Later in June I found this lady at the Goodwill Outlet ((which I refer to as Pony Purgatory, cause if they aren't saved there, they are trashed).

She is in beautiful condition, even her tinsel! I was shocked and so pleased.

Lastly, just this Wednesday, I found two gems in a ziploc bag at the GW outlet

Her hair is uncut, no missing plugs, no marks of stains, though her cutie mark has a scratch or two. STILL she is in great condition!

Milky Way! No hair cuts, marks or hair plugs missing. She is gorgeous!

This was at one of those places that were obviously picked through by everyone else,and, in truth, I woulda passed her up too had not my mum recently bought me a Kingsley. ^^ So, I am proud to show off my thirty-three cent purchase of Baby Woolly!

Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering around a different thrift where they sell bags of toys for $1.98, but on that day (Tuesdays) they give military an extra  25% off. Soooo, when I zipped to the toy section, hoping for a Pinkie Pie, I found somethings even better!!!

Yar, she is pretty rough, but I thought she needed to be celebrated. Her hair is all there, uncut and soft. It's a shame her body and symbols didn't hold up as well. But she is still a darling!

and in the bag with Pillow Talk was something that nearly had me squealing in the store:

His hair is, again, gorgeous. He might have some minor ingrained dirt on the tips of his ears and a stray faint yellow mark, but the fact I found a *male* pony made me soooo happy!

All of those were for less than $4 with misc other toys that were stuffed in the bag.

And for thirty-three cents, at a Goodwill, I was able to rescue

From how I found her, covered in dirt and sad looking, even though she is so far from mint she can't even see it, I still love her.

28/Feb/14!
Went back to my fav place to shop for ponies that doesn't start with 'www' and I found something that I really wasn't even looking for! I had to check to make sure he was who I thought he was, and once I did I could only give a have smile at the irony of it considering I had been gifted a Sundance earlier that week.

Remember my Big Top and Toppy find? These lovely ladies came from the same store! They are two G2s that are in really good condition! Both have their jewels in their eyes.

First up is Light Heart....

It's hard to tell in the photos but both of her jewels are in her eyes. She only had a slight paint chip on the lower back hoof, and some other minor (very minor) flaws but considering she is 14 years old and from a thrift shop....I'll live with it!!

Secondly is the one that I squealed over!!!

Soooooooo, while I was out and about, I decided to go to my favorite thrift stop which happens to be the Goodwill Outlet. It is an awesome place where I have found many ponies (mainly G3s) for pennies and on my first trip, a mint Baby Sweetsteps. Anyway, I went there and found not only a Twilight Twinkle, but this little lady-->

She is flat foot Minty. ^^ My friend's jaw dropped when I showed her. I asked if I should post the find and she said 'Yes!' so here is me showing my little lady off.

She has blue marks on her that might or might not be able to be seen in the picture, any recommendations on how to clean those? thanks!

I remember my first FF pony!  They are so cute looking. Congrats on snagging one is such an unexpected place.  I'm not sure about the pen marks.  Maybe you could take a pic and try starting a thread for advice on how to clean her in the Corral

Thank you!  I think I'll do that.  I was originally considering sunfading, but I've never sunfaded a pony before and am uncertain whether the green might fade like pink.  Obviously, it won't fade as quickly but I'd hate to damage her out of ignorance.

Cool! I love Minty. She's so pretty! I went to a Goodwill Outlet near me a few months ago, but didn't find any ponies. Maybe someday!
