Im a huuuuuuuge Zoroark fan and I collect a lot of Zoroark merch. And I was thinking... how cool would it be to make a Zoroark MLP Custom? I already have the bait and I made a quick concept drawing:

Dont mind the color. I picked green because it made it alot more clear. So I was thinking about first sculpting the thing at his neck. And perhaps the little nails but I cant decide if I should make some hairy hooves like the Big Brothers to make him more in pony Style, or make some little nails... Nails suits Zoroark itself more...

I also cant decide if I should remove the horn or not... his abbility is to create illusions and that fits perfectly for an unicorn. But Zoroark himself has no horn. But Im afraid that I ruin him by cutting of the horn.

And at last I was asking if I should give him a Cutie Mark and what kind then.

He will be rehaired and Im gonna try to dye part of his mane and tail to make him more look like a real Zoroarks mane.

And I started with the custom. I made the neck piece by Fimo and UGH did I hate it. It kept falling of and one side is off but I dont care the end of the piece will be covered by hair anyway. It was my first time working with it btw.

Neat ideas, did you set some small pins into the feet to keep those toes in place? If not you might want to think about it for your next try. Best of luck with the project.

I baked him yesterday and now I need to get a can of grey spraypaint and after that I can buy some hair. The feet are secured with modpodge/glue and after the baking glued back again just for the secure.

I just painted his body colour with spraypaint. I need to clean my desk to start painting eyes and claws tommorow.

I also just ordered 2 hanks of hair, one red for this one, and a Purple one for when Im gonna make a shiny version!

I will provide pics as soon as possible but this is just a sign that this project isnt dead.

And to let you guys know what a Zoroark is. Is a Pokemon. My favourite.

I ordered saran hair. Nylon was sold out in the colors I wanted.

So I painted a lot today. Next week Im gonna paint some more and make sure he looks perfect. <3 I still need to get a transculent blue bead.

My hair came already today and so I reheaired him.

I also added some black water/acrylic as dye and now he's drying. I had some troubles while rehairing because the paint started to fell off! He was painted with grey spraypaint. So to repair him I just painted on him with Acrylics. The parts that were still good did I seal with some mod podge. That stuff is holy.

Zoroark MLP Custom

Made from a Twilight Sparkle Bait, painted with spraypaint and acrylics. Sculpted with FIMO clay.
Sealed with varnish and mod podge. Rehaired with Torch Auban Saran hair from MyLittlecustoms.com
Dye provided with thinned out acrylic paint. I used a toy bead for the bead at his tail.
