Can I sunfade a baby gusty?
« on: February 09, 2014, 10:11:31 AM »
Okay...I've acquired a baby gusty courtesy of nappercasper today so I'm a very happy lady  :frolic:
She was rather yellow and was full of rust which made her look so much worse, well I've cleaned out all the rust and she looks so much whiter but she's still a bit off colour  :cloud:
I am wondering if she is safe to sunfade as I've had success with my baby glory :) or if there's another way to make her snowy white again?

I've had a lot of luck Sunfading baby gusty.  I've done it to her and Baby Moondancer and both turned out very nice.

As long as she has no brown cancer spots and isn't really brownish in discoloration I would give her a whirl in the window... Good luck!

This!

She should be fine. But the Play & Care version can be prone to discolouration and age marks. So I would be more careful with her than you would be with other ponies and make sure to check on her often. If she has age marks, I would fade only with reluctance. :)

Good luck!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I'll keep a close watch on her sunbathing in my bedroom window...its not very sunny here in the wet miserable south east of the uk!
She's not too discoloured I'd say it's more staining from all the rust in her butt  I've deep cleaned her but she still has a slight tinge in places.

Yikes! My Baby Gusty was like that inside as well! She was easily one of the worst ponies I ever had to clean out...one of the worst trades ever unfortunately :(

Aww that's awful :(
Mine was a good price as I've wanted her for awhile. She was found in a charity shop in Ashford and how could anyone say no to that cute baby face :) if I can fix her up she'll be perfect as her eyes symbols and hair are great !
