fantasy toy horse lines besides mlp?
« on: February 07, 2014, 02:25:19 PM »
so I’m trying to figure out all the fantasy horse toy lines (i.e mlp, fashion star fillies, anything w/o a natural color) & also similar brands that feature toy horses, so far I have:

mlp
dream beauties (same as mlp I guess?)
fashion star fillies
breyer dapples
filly princess
fantasy fillies
enchanted kingdom horses
lalaloopsy ponies
barbie/mattel horses
littlest pet shop horses
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a bratz unicorn before, also I can' think of the name but I know there' s a line  of carousel toy horses from the 80s/90s? not sure..
did I miss any?
does anyone collect any of these? I’d love to see pix of your non mlp toy horse collections! :)

There are also Breyer Wind Dancers.  They are quite pretty.  They are pegasus with butterfly wings.  Some are somewhat natural colored (but iridescent with a fantasy color mixed in, like the grey one has blue in her coat), and some that are totally fantasy based.  Some are even really pretty gradients and are fruit scented!  There are foals and adult horses.

I really hope the mia and me toys come stateside, I'd love to get one of those unicorns!
I hope ever after high eventually makes a horse too, I think it'd be really pretty! that also makes me think of nightmare, the monster high horse! but I guess she's grouped in w/ all the other mattel horses, like she-ra and lady lovelylocks.
just remembered another, schleich! they have lots of beautiful unicorns and pegasi.

I guess they aren't a collection-  but I REALLY LOVE the Unicorn and Pegasus from "Princess Gwenevere and The Jewel Riders"  and the Shera horses ..

I just looked those up on ebay, are they the same molds as fashion star fillies? they look similar, very pretty! :)

Actually- I've never compared!  They seem to be around the same size as the FSF teens-  I don't recall who make the Jewel Rider toys- but if it was Kenner than they very well could have recycled a mold :)

I want to say we could add  those mini carousel ones  by a company called  Matchbox  to the list.

How a bout also adding the micro beauties, and little beauties as well?

Well, there are some ponies that are considered MLP fakies that are really more of their own line.

For instance, I feel Buddy L's horse/pony line was different enough to be considered slightly above "fakie." (Even though they ripped off the butt symbol idea!) The horses would make sounds (the "gallop gallop neigh neigh gallop gallop" sound chip that so many girl's horse toys used) and I believe the gems in their heads are supposed to light up as well. Also had pagacorns!

There was an adorable Lanard line of tiny ponies that I can never find info on when I want to. EDIT: FOund it! Apparently it's called "Pony Tails." Real creative!! But look how cute these things are! http://the-fakie-hideout.weebly.com/new-lanard-pony-tails.html

While I was checking the fakie hideout, I found these: Bella Sara miniature fantasy horses, I think this might be more what you're looking for.

I think the SheRa horses are a smaller mold than the fillies.  I had swift wind and Chloe and Chloe was definitely stockier from what I remember.

those pony tails ponies are really cute, I like that they're pocket sized and brushable! & I can't believe I forgot bella sara considering the one I own is a pink pegasus lol
that reminds me of the horseland toys, I know they had colorful streaks in their hair and could talk in their tv show so I guess they're definitely fantasy horses lol
thanks for sharing those links! :)

Mattel Magic Meadow Ponies, which were sold under the "Cabbage Patch Kids' label but had little to do with them really. Not my cup of tea, but colourful and I suppose collectable if you like clumpy lumpy horses.
