Mama Meow (aka Midgie aka Midget aka smallest cat in the world)

We estimate that Mama is about twelve years old, maybe older.
She was a stray that we adopted her many years ago.
She has had at least three batches of kittens. I only heard about the first one from my parents (they saw the kittens while moving into our last house)
She had the second batch around when we took her in. We kept one of the kittens (Toby) and later, thanks to Toby she had a third batch and we kept (Stormy)

Moral of the story is get your boy kitties fixed asap.

Anyway... the vets didn't know what was wrong with Stormy when we had to put him down. His health dropped suddenly in a few days time. We didn't even know anything was wrong until one day we noticed he wasn't feeling well. I think we thought it was a cold or something...

Only a couple of months later, Toby's (Stormy's dad/big brother) kidneys started shutting down. They were both still really young and it was such a shock to lose the pair so quickly.

Toby had been struggling most of his life with kidney issues and he'd had multiple surgeries leading up to the day we had to make the decision to let him go.

My dad used to work out of state and one of the times he came home, he brought Angel with him.

Then we have Hero.
We adopted Hero from a Renaissance festival in 2012 when he was just a little thing.

As for his kitty mommy... when we brought Hero home, my kitty Saria adopted him as her own.

My beautiful baby girl... I lost her last September to mammary cancer. Long story short, the battle lasted almost the entire year and she went through three surgeries in the attempts to remove the tumors.
The vet told us that had she been fixed before the first time she went into heat, there would have been an 80% chance she would have never gotten the cancer.

Remember - get your pets fixed as soon as possible. It's very important to their lives.

Naturally, I couldn't function without a kitty of my own... and while a lot of people don't agree with adopting pets that soon after losing one, the day after I said goodbye to Saria I adopted a kitten.

She wasn't quite six weeks old. A little young, but she was already eating dry cat food and doing well away from mommy. 

When we got her she was very small. Here she is napping in her blanket, inside of my friends purse, inside of a shopping cart.

Her name was Souji Maria KurrPurr. She was given away because my ex-boyfriend was allergic to cats. Her new owner named her Munkki (finnish word for doughnut). Missing her so much.

This girl isn't really mine, but she's a kitty that's been boarding at work for over a month.  The owner is t doing well and I have volunteered to take her if she isn't able to come back for her.  It all depends how she does with my other critters if she's just a foster it not!

Her name is Chloe, but I would have to change it as I already have a Chloe!

What a great topic! I love seeing all your kitties and I must admit I'm jealous of all of you who have lap cats. You're so lucky. I currently have three cats myself and none of them are cuddle bugs. Believe it or not, the only one who likes to cuddle on the couch with me is my golden retriever.

This picture was taken by my BFF, who co-owns Samhain with me. He showed up outside her house two and a half years ago. A tiny six week old kitten, demanding to be let inside. She called me and asked if I wanted a kitten. We named him Samhain because we're both Wiccan and he was found a few weeks before that holiday. He is opinionated and acts like a guard dog.

Arwen and her litter plus her mother where found by my BFF and her parents. On the engine block of her mom's semi-truck (the truck was off and parked). I helped my BFF raise the litter last summer. Arwen whom we nicknamed Alarm because she loved to 'talk' was gifted to me for my birthday last year. She's a sweet little spitfire of a lady. And Samhain's BFF.

The momma cat also needed a home and by October of last year. We had run out of people who would take her. Not wanting to release her to a kill shelter I took her. To at least give her more time. Turns out she loves me, so I kept her. We named her Elsa, after the lioness that the Adams raised in the 1950s. She's a drooly, purring and sweet as can be cuddle cat.

The littlest white kitten, that we nicknamed Cruise (now called Yuki) had the hardest start. She still had her chord attached and had fallen off the engine. We had to hand feed her because she wouldn't nurse. That fell to my BFF, who logged many hours with a tiny bottle and an even smaller baby kitten. One of her dew claws was infected, so I went rounds with a sewing needle and hot water compresses laced with healing herbs. There where several times we thought she wouldn't make it. But she did and is now a loving, fluffy tailed kitten. That is living with my BFF's grandparents.
