Spanish flutters?
« on: February 04, 2014, 09:00:00 PM »
Does anyone have some good photos of the Spanish flutters that are out there? What are the differences between them and US/UK releases? Do they have Spain written on their feet or are they NC? The only pics I found on Wiki were kinda poor and not very detailed, so I'd love some good pics to reference! Thanks all!

There are some differences between. I atm only have Honeysuckle, and Forget-Me-Not is on the way.
There are three Spanish Flutters: Honeysuckle, Forget-Me-Not and Peach Blossom. They all have Spain written under the hoofs.

Some differences: Eyes, symbol and general colors.

Usually the best way to see the difference is by the symbol. Is a darker or brighter shade of the original color. You can see that Forget-Me-No has orange and yellow flowers instead of purple and yellow like the US counterpart has. And also, the symbol is a little bit bigger in the Spanish ponies.

Here are some MOC photos I saved from old auctions. They are not mine. I'm missing a photo of the backcard..

I hope this helps! ^^

I have a question to the MOC owners: The ribbon that comes with the flutters... how is it? In the photos I have from the auctions it can't be seen clearly. Is it silver or so??

They also all have the distinctly darker eyeliner which you also see with some other Spanish ponies such as the TEs. But as LadyPinwheel says its really the body colour difference which gives them away the most.

Where were they sold? They are lovely MIP! Thank you for the pics, Lady pinwheel and to the origional owners of the pics of the MOC ones! It's hard to compare them unless they're side by side, especially Peach Blossom, but i adore the atual peach color of Honeysuckle. You're very lucky to own them, LPW :)

Are all of their symbols a little bigger than US, and they appear to be a tad smaller, or is that just the photos?

To me, it looks like part of the print on the card, but I'd love to have a MOC owner confirm, as well. :)

I agree with it being printed on the card.

Lady pinwheel, I believe they came with silver ribbons!

Is there a spanish rosedust? I could have sworn there was one in the honeysuckle pose. Maybe I am crazy...

Does anyone have the other two side by side so we can see the differences? I like that one photo of the two Honeysuckles...the differences really stand out!

No, there are only three spanish flutters. I know I have seen the backcard, but can't seem to find the image.

SilverSnow, some day you and Ember1 should get together and start a MLP museum! Look at those lovely ponies! I felt the same rush seeing your pic as I did when I was a child walking into the toy aisle and seeing them all on the shelves again!
