Help for gore?

So I've just started a slaughterhouse themed custom, and was wondering what kinds of things make for realistic looking blood and guts. I'm not really a sculptor, but any advice would be appreciated.

Floating gel with a tad of red paint in it makes for great blood.

(Edit: Coincidentally, I'm listening to "Bloodbathing Tub" by :wumpscut: right now...)

I've done a little painting, but I want something that holds its shape and is shiny, so it will look like a puddle or stream. I'll try your advice, and see how that works out.

thick glue or modge podge gloss?

The floater gel forms a thick, solid, semi-transparent blood. It's really gorgeous.

All these tips are helpful! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who finds blood pretty.
