Hen's Symbol Restoration Thread

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show off the ponies I'm restoring. I'm an illustrator, so the idea of painting on these was very exciting. Hope you enjoy!

Everything is acrylic sealed with Mod Podge unless otherwise noted.


Before: Moondancer
I got this sweet girl from babystargazer. Her body and hair were lovely.

I bought some glitter glue at JoAnne Fabrics so I didn't have to buy every color glitter known to man, but I think a finer particle size would have worked better. Oh well, I'm pretty happy with it. Now I just have to get that horrible pink spot on her rump!

Moonstone is next. :)

I found some less chunky glitter this weekend so I'll be using that on ponies from now on. This stuff just wasn't fine-grit enough.

Before:
I got Medley just the other day from sparkleset80 along with many other ponies that me and my friend will share. Her hair is so soft, I love it! She has a tail trim, but I think it suits her.

I bought a new, teeny tiny brush. It helps a lot. :)

The paint was also watered down much more this time so it would look more flat. The other ponies' symbols look chunky in comparison now...

Thanks so much! I do too. Before and afters are the best! I just hate seeing the poor things go for bait when all they need is a bit of love.
