UK Baby Stroller Question
« on: February 01, 2014, 12:35:52 PM »
I was very excited to receive Baby Lemon Drop and her stroller in the mail but unfortunately the canopy was detached and upon inspection it looks like it was previously broken and glued back on, the seller did not mention this and it didn't appear broken in the picture so they may not have known about it. It also looks like the glue is old, here it is:

If anyone has one or knows more about this release, did Hasbro use glue to attach the canopy? May I see pictures of how that part is supposed to look like?

I'd appreciate the help  :)

I've never seen glue being used like this, not that I'm saying it doesn't happen. But it does look like someone glued it with a strong glue that has melted the plastic, and I don't think Hasbro would do that

I've got a pink one broken there too and the glue looks just the same.

I had both pink and purple stroller and they both had a yellow/brown glue on them.

Hmmm...its a little hard to tell for certain. But I agree it is probably original. I have had carriages over the year with broken sections and some which had a yellowish brown glue deposit. The glue was never quite as bright a colour as shown here or had the same pock mark effect but there is certainly original glue in the area you have pictured here. So given 25 years its probably just that the glues have aged differently.

Oh wow, maybe I'm lucky to not have seen glue like this. I've seen it yellowed but not where it looks like the plastic has melted

Thanks a lot everyone for confirming, I was worried it might have been previously glued by the seller and like you Lisey I didn't imagine this was part of it but to clarify that's actually air bubbles in the dried glue and not melted plastic.
