My Son's 10th Birthday Is Soon! Tips?!

The kiddo is turning 10. TEN. A WHOLE DECADE (of annoying me senseless!)!

He is a GIANT fan of Minecraft, so of course, it will be a surprise Minecraft party. I haven't started searching yet, but so far, we've found the cake (http://www.dorkly.com/picture/58683/the-greatest-way-to-make-rice-krispie-treats).   Since I'll be hand making the cake, putting rice krispies in like a square silicone mold, would work well, yes? Using food dye for the marshmallows to color the blocks, and he already has the toys... So, I could just steal them.

But, I would like y'all opinions on what else I could do for him. Minecraft type party favors, games, things like that.

For games you should do a "pin the tail (or a saddle) on the pig".  You can also have a scavenger hunt with different types of ores being worth different points (iron being 1 point and diamond being 3). The person with the highest points wins; or even just a find the diamond game. Hope this helps!

I know very little about minecraft, but isn't it about stacking blocks? Maybe get some cardboard boxes and paint them up like the blocks and let them build with them?

My son is turning 12 Feb 7th..We are also are having a minecraft party...He is getting a creeper cake..So everything is going to be black and green..

But a good place to look is on Etsy...They have tons of minecraft things..that maybe you can make at home...

Thanks everyone!! Kaos, that is a good idea. I was thinking about doing that with the rice krispies too. Making extra for them to build with and thne they can take them home and eat them. !

For some reason, I didn't think of etsy or pinterest! A Creeper cake would be amazing! Since you'll be having his party first, Chzy, you'll need to show me pictures of what you did! My son is turning 10 on St Patricks Day, so it's only about a month afterwards.

How exciting!  I started googling things since I'm a total sucker for themed parties.
