G2 Sun Sparkle eye color differences

Interesting, I guess all the Mommies had one or another variant. Mommy Sweetberry has a variant with different hair colors, Sunsparkle with eyes... I wonder now if Light Heart has variant counterpart as well

can someone please explain to me, is there two different eye colors on mommy Sun Sparkle?

Everywhere i look i only find the blue eyed version and no mention of this. I got one purple eyed SS in a lot and another one when i upgraded the first.

Which version of her is that? Both of my Sun Sparkles have blue eyes, but they are both in different poses than the one you have there. I have the 1st release of her where the two front legs are together then I have the birthday set release of her where she has a ballon over her symbol.

Sundance is the one with the blue balloon on the other side she has the same sun cutie mark as SunSpakle

I had the Golden Light with the art on the backcard. I'm pretty sure I bought mine back in 2000 as soon as she and Silver Rain were on sale in Poland, though my main focus then were the babies.

Do you think it might be a re-release of her? I mean, the other two ponies on the backcard are Fuchsia and Sapphire... I'm almost sure that on mine backcard was Silver Rain. And if I recall correctly Golden Light also two ways of MOC packaging, right? Mine had the one like the G1 ponies, with the plastic covering the card, the pony and accessories. And mine is the one which came with the yellow sun-crown and orange fan.

I wonder if there is any difference in the ponies too...

Uhm it could be a re-release. Golden Light is not one of my childhood ponies, so I have no idea which version was sold here. But probably both. I've seen the accessory variations on local auction sites here.

Fuchsia is almost the same as her majesty great romance , which is the one I have , she is almost the same but her tail is blond mixed with pink . Am i right?

Princess Fuchsia is almost as the Great Romance pony i Have , i think the difference is some pink mixed with the blond in her tail ! But same symbol

Yep, Houston, you are correct Princess Fuchsia and Her Majesty Great Romance look almost the same. I have problems with ID'ing them as I keep mixing them up

Also, um, I've checked my Silver Rain Princess and looked at Moonbreeze's site and then at the ended ebay auctions... I think she's a variant She's the one with the reversed in colors accessories as you can see:

Her hairline is a bit different and I can't be 100% sure, but it seems to me like the colors, though very similar, are slightly different too. I'll take a better pic in daylight (though it might take some days as I have work on the weekend and an exam on Monday)

It's one of those ponies with a different name when sold in the USA and UK/Europe. She was sold as Sundance on American packaging, and as Sun Sparkle when released in the UK. Seeing that the G2 were quickly discontinued in 1998, I guess most people should know her more as Sun Sparkle since a lot of the later G2s that were sold in the USA via Hasbro's website were Euro imports.

I personally prefer the name Sun Sparkle because it makes the pony more unique, rather than steal a G1 name.
