Big Apple Ponycon | NYC's My Little Pony Convention

Big Apple Ponycon is NYC's premiere pony fan convention!
Ponycon brings together enthusiasts of all MLP generations
to celebrate and promote our favorite pony toys, comics, and cartoons in a family friendly, fun, cultured atmosphere.

This year we are pleased to present My Little Pony creator BONNIE ZACHERLE as our Guest of Honor, in person!

and more guests to come!

Join us June 6-7th at the historic Loews Jersey Theatre to be a part of two fun-packed days
of performances, artwork, merchandise, contests, prizes, costumes, gaming, panels,
interviews, guests, music and more! Tickets go on sale February 1st. www.BigApplePonycon.com

YES! thank goodness for living in new jersey. if i can raise the money, this will be the first mlp centered con ill be attending. im just hoping anime next is going to be in july this year... it sucks to choose just one to attend! it'll be cool to maybe see other arena members in the con, and just see such a large gathering of pony people. what kind of panels/events (other than the ones stated in video) are going to be at the con, or is that still being decided?

At conventions you get to meet all the folks you talk to online every week, talk ponies, take pictures, trade together, shop together, watch panels and play games! The people are the best part of going to a con, seeing friends. The ponies are stars of the show too! I've been known to fill up the camera with pictures of beautiful pony customs, pony art, and rare ponies that cost bushels of money. It's all part of the convention experience.

Here's a very short list of what you can count on seeing at Ponycon, without giving away too much before the launch
Interview panel and Q&A with the creator of MLP, Bonnie Zacherle
Interactive performances with the voice talents from MLP:FiM
Meet and greets with all the guests
Children's and family activities involving the guest talents
Live musical performances from pony fan talents such as Lady Aria Phantasy, YourEnigma, and Tenshi No Ai pony maid and butler cafe
A RAFFLEMANIA event with over fifty pony prizes
Costume promenade and contest
Contests for custom ponies, artwork and handicraft, and music videos (PMV)
A gaming area for Pony card games, magic and more
And a whole lot of vending! Pony collectibles, toys, crafts, art, music, and even a pony themed cafe.

Putting this all together is a lot of work as you can imagine, but it's also a lot of fun! Doing our best to combine all the best elements of our beloved back yard pony meets with the big crowd excitements of conventions!
Hope you can be there :)

I will be at the Fair, too! Never miss it unless it's super far away. I'm stoked for the fair this year, and to have Summer Hayes in NYC this June as one of Big Apple Ponycon's Guests of Honor ^_^  I can barely hold in all this excitement. It's going to be a ponytastic year! And why shouldn't it? It's the Year of the Horse!

I live in NJ but there ids no way for me to get there without a car (and I have no license) I live in Monmouth County and see no mass transit way up to Journal Square. If anyone can see a way for me to get there, I would love to go.

As a former Monmouth County resident myself, I can happily say "YES, YOU CAN get there from here"! Via Nj Transit. Take the North Jersey Coast Line train (stops in red bank, long branch, matawan, little silver, etc) to Newark station. The ride costs approx $15. Then once in Newark, take the escalator to Track #1 - PATH Trains depart Newark for Journal Square once every 15-20 minutes. It costs $2.50 to ride, and the ride is only two stops (first Harrison then Journal Sq.). Maybe fifteen minutes on PATH. The Loews theater is directly across the street from the PATH station :)

Directions for bus, train, car, ferry etc will all be on the website Feb 1st! No worries. Hope to see ya!!

Hey we hope to see you, fellow NYer! If you can catch a bus, carpool or train to New York City, then PATH can take you the rest of the way 1,2,3! PATH train (it's like an above ground light rail or subway) leaves from 33rd street Manhattan to Journal Square every 15-20 minutes on weekends. It costs $2.50 per ride and takes about half an hour. Fridays are even quicker :)
