Artemesia's Pony Calendar 2014... Update!

Hi guys, just for fun I'm planning a pony calendar for what I hope will be a great pony year!

Here is a picture and story for January

In little pony land a cold snap had charmed all the branches with glittering frost.  The waterfall pond had frozen thick to a glistening white.  A pale bright sun shone down on the little ponies at the pond as they watched Hopscotch strike out on her new pink ice skates.  Baby Hopscotch, wrapped up warm in her matching pink outfit, wished she too could skate.  She wished and wished that the elves would finish her skates in time to try the ice before it thawed.  Powder looked up at the sky, where the first evening star had appeared. “Let's all wish on the star” she said.  Baby Hopscotch wished for her new skates to arrive, but nothing happened.  “Come and finish the snowman with us!” exclaimed Baby Billie as Snowflake appeared with twigs for the arms. 

Hopscotch called “It's time to go home now!”  Baby Hopscotch trotted over to her Mother and  together they waved to the other little ponies as they set out for home. “With Powder's magic the elves are sure to have heard my wish, but they haven't brought my skates” said Baby Hopscotch.  “Powder's magic is powerful but we can't demand work from the elves” replied Hopscotch. “If you want your skates, what can you do in return?”  Baby Hopscotch though hard about this but couldn't reply.

That night as she slept she dreamed of the beautiful elves skating over the pond, with ice forming as they flew by and crisp white snowflakes falling beneath low grey clouds as they danced in the dark sky above. When she awoke she opened the window onto the fresh snowy world. She picked up her tiny xylophone, placed it by the open window and began to play. Clear notes rang out like bells into the still air and as she played the snow started to fall again.  Mummy Hopscotch came into the room and cried “It's freezing out there why is the window open?”  Baby Hopscotch hung her head, but Hopscotch saw the xylophone and a twinkle appeared in her eye.   “The elves are dancing up above the clouds to make the snowflakes fall.  They must have heard the sweet melody you played to help them with their work! Look, I found this package on the doorstep”.  As Baby Hopscotch opened the parcel they both smiled and laughed with happiness. Inside were four perfect small pony skates.

Here is a picture and story for February - sorry it's a little late! Lack of inspiration, then I needed to restore Sweetheart's eyes before I could include her in any photos! So...

Snuzzle and Peachy strolled along enjoying the fresh air and looking for early signs of spring.  All morning they had been busy at the Grooming Parlour brushing and styling Little Ponies.  The Full Moon Ball was to be held at Dream Castle that evening and the Little Ponies wanted to look their best!  As they reached the top of the hill, Snuzzle and Peachy saw Braided Beauty standing alone, looking out at the view.
“Are you coming down to get your hair done?” called Peachy.
“I'd forgotten all about it” said Braided Beauty.
“You seem sad” said Snuzzle, giving her ear a friendly lick.
Braided Beauty tried to put on a brave face and said “It's just that I was trying on my dress for tonight and it really doesn't suit me.  Nothing I try on seems to look OK.”
“Everyone feels like that from time to time” said Peachy sympathetically.  “I'm sure you'll have a good time once you see your friends at the party!”
“That's just it” said Braided Beauty, “I wish I could be pretty like them!  Nothing suits me...” Tears began to fall onto Braided Beauty's cheeks.  Snuzzle and Peachy comforted her until she said “Nothing seems to suit me because I'm... green!  None of my friends are green and I'm sure Sparkler hates doing my outfits because I'm such an awful colour!”
Peachy and Snuzzle looked at each other in dismay.
“Why don't you come down to the Parlour with us and have a nice cup of mint tea?” said Snuzzle.  So between Snuzzle and Peachy, Braided Beauty followed the sunny path down to the Grooming Parlour.

Sundance and Sweetheart had finished sweeping and leaned against the wall by the Grooming Parlour when they saw Peachy, Snuzzle and Braided Beauty coming into the yard. “ Hi, hi!" they called.
As the friends all stood around chatting, Braided Beauty felt a little better but she still didn't feel like going to the party, and Peachy could tell!  “Still feeling down?” asked Peachy, and Braided Beauty nodded.
“Nothing looks good on me today and I've decided not to go to the party!” she told them all.
“That is a shame!” said Sundance.
“Perhaps we could ask Truly and Dazzleglow to help?” suggested Sweetheart.  Sweetheart was sure the senior stylists would know just what to do.  “They are at the waterfall washing brushes” said Sundance “but I could fly over the Rainbow to fetch them!”
“Yes, yes!” they all agreed.
Sundance looked up into the blue sky and called “Rainbow! Rainbow! Way up high, Come to me and away I'll fly!” Soon a rainbow appeared, whipping her high up into the sky and then down to where the waterfall was tumbling. Sundance helped Truly and Dazzleglow to collect their things and together they swept back along the rainbow.

Back at the Grooming Parlour, Braided Beauty stepped up onto the white box and the ponies set to work, polishing her hooves until they shone and brushing her coat until it gleamed. 
“You know, some of the loveliest ponies in Little Pony Land are green” Peachy told her.
“Yes, perhaps you've never met Melody or Angel?”  Sweetheart asked. “They are sure to be wonderful at the party”.
“No” said Braided Beauty, “I've never met them before.”
“I happen to know that they will both be there this evening” said Truly.  “And soon you'll look and feel fine, with all the confidence you'll need to enjoy the party!”
Finally Dazzleglow who had been quiet so far, used her magic to dress Braided Beauty in a dazzling gown of purple and gold.  All the ponies gasped! “Just a little something I threw together darling” she said with a wink.  She touched her Unicorn to the skirt which began to twinkle just like stars in the night sky.
“I love it!” Exclaimed Braided Beauty.
As other Little Ponies had arrived for their appointments the Grooming Parlour ponies went off to help them,  leaving Peachy to say goodbye to Braided Beauty at the gate.  “Well, have we convinced you to go to the party tonight?” Peachy asked.  “Have we made you feel as good as you look?”
“Yes!” said Braided Beauty “Thanks to you and the others I look my best, and best of all I feel confident enough to go anywhere, because I know I have such wonderful friends!”

Awwww! What a cute story!  It sure isn't easy being green.

Hey thank you thank you so much for reading my story! I thought it would be a nice comment on how anyone can have insecurities no matter what it's about, and we all love green ponies anyway! Also I didn't have any friends when I was little and now I have friends and they give me such a boost. It's so hard writing stories but I really enjoy it. I will try to do March story while it's still March

p.s. did I say thank you for fixing all Flicker Flame's black lines and making her so beautifulxXx
