Glittery Wave 1/2 BB vs. Crystal Wave 4 BB

Since the mane 6 had transparent glittery releases in the early BB waves, I was wondering if there was a difference between there early releases and the wave 4 "crystal" pony releases of the mane 6.

W2 Applejack is more an Orange collor while the W4 is more yellowish
W2 Fluttershy is more a warmer color Yellow then W4
W1 Rainbow Dash is Light Blue while W2 is more a dark blue

pinkie in wave 1 is a lot more pastel pink then in wave 4 and onward. she is really saturated and dark. same goes for pretty much all the others except twilight and rarity.

So Twilight and Rarity are pretty much the same between those releases, but all of the others have some color differences?  That's really interesting, I'm sure it only gets more complicated if you factor in the Rainbow Collection.

yep, in all the releases ive seen twilight and rarity always stay about the same shade of purple and white. the only exception to this is the ever rare batch of wave 1 pink twilights. these use the same plastic as wave 1 pinkie and were only sold in a few batches... the rest are all purple. they go for pretty high prices online.

I did a comparison some time ago of the ones I have.  While I don't have all the Wave 4 ones, I believe they are identical to the Target Pony Rainbow collection except for Applejack and Fluttershy.

Wave 1 pink, Wave 1 purple, Pony Rainbow (there is a slight difference between the two purples but it's so minor it could just be a batch variation)

Thanks, I'm glad they're helpful.   I donated the photos to the wiki so they're easier to find and won't disappear if I clean out my albums.

I was surprised by how much difference there is between the versions of Rarity too.
