Japanese Jun Planning Keychains

Hi all,

Sorry if there is a thread about these already - I did search and found one thread pricing them much lower than another thread was selling them, and a thread about Takaras, but no real images or information about these keychains, so I hope it's okay I'm starting this thread.

Firstly, I'm wondering if anyone has any as I'd love to see photos other than the ones on My Little Wiki.

Secondly, can anyone tell me how often (if ever) they show up on Ebay, if many Arena members have them, is there much interest in them? Is there somewhere other than Ebay than can be good for getting them?

I'd really love to try and acquire them someday.

I'm certain that someone on the arena is selling those keychains and they have pictures of them, I think there are 4 of them? I'm trying to remember who it is though lol.

There are more than 4 total... I want to say about 9, but don't quote me!

They were relatively popular with collectors when they were out, so they are out there, but they're not sold very frequently. I just have one myself.

There was a loose key chain with sugar berry on eBay a few weeks ago and it sold for £8. I was quite surprised at how low it sold for .

That is very cheap. So they do show up on Ebay... I'll have to just try keep an eye out for them!

They're so cute, and I only discovered them purely by chance on My Little Wiki - I had never heard them mentioned on here!

That is low for her! Maybe because she was loose? Most are still mip.

They are actually more retro releases than G1 - they were out 2002-2003...something like that.

Jun had a variety of different products - they had cell phone charms, plush key chains/coin purses and of course the key chains you mean.

There was:
Baby Dancing Butterflies
Baby Milky Way
Baby Sugarberry
Baby Starbow
Baby Sunribbon
Baby Brightbow
Baby Stocking with green hair
Baby Stocking with red hair

They do turn up on ebay - more often still in their pack than loose - mainly because collectors were trying to pick them up when they first showed up [although even then they were hard to find due to where they were sold and I think only a couple of retailers ever listed online and with international shipping]. However they can be pricey because they are so hard to find. £8 was a good price - MIP I would expect $30-35 each.

I didn't realise they were so recent. Thanks for the photos, Shelti - they're just so sweet!! Its good to finally see them out of their packets, I wasn't entirely sure if they were full ponies or just sort of molded half-ponies!

I'd be happy to pay $30-35 for each of them, I'd be less inclined to pay the $50-80 each I saw them for sale on the Arena for in my search! I might set up some Ebay searches so I don't miss them if they come up again. I'd be perfectly happy to have them out of their packs... to be honest, I'd take them out of their packs because I'm bold like that, so loose ones would be ideal for me.

These are definitely my new grail... because I really needed more of those, sigh!

The date on my packages is 2002. I have baby Sugarberries ($15 BIN on eBay) and baby Dancing Butterflies (awesome gift from ponylady!). They do pop up from time to time so it just depends on if you want to wait and try to get a deal or spend a bit more and get them sooner

I'm hoping that searching for 'pony keychains' will find me them eventually! I tend to call keychains 'keyrings' but I think most people say keychains.

There are some pretty cute G2 keychains out there as well, I have to admit, and I'm not even a G2 fan!

I've been searching for the Dancing Butterflies keychain for a loooong time. (Japan + Dancing Butterflies = Best!) It's good to see they don't sell for too high.

I want Baby Starbow the most, I think, or green Stocking but I'd be happy with any (and all!) of them. And same, I do want them but I'm happy to wait until I can get them for a good price rather than paying over the top to get them quickly!
