Trying a new style with Gusty

I like drawing ponies, but I find G1s hard to draw well and G4s too easy and Powerpuff-y (though very cute) to draw. I really want to develop my own style, based loosely on G4s, but with more of a chibi and sketchy-cartoon feel to them. And I want to use it to draw G1s, so I started last night with my favourite of them all - Gusty.

I need to practise refining the style so it's a bit more unique, but I'm pretty happy with her so far!

Awww thank you! Still needs a bit of work, she's pretty rough in proportions and the squiggly hair doesn't flow as well as it should, so I appreciate such a lovely compliment!

That is an amazing style, I love seeing people create such original versions of MLP! And I agree, much cuter than the official FiM style. Beautiful, flowing lines... and just look at that little muzzle!

Wow, such high praise haha thank you so much! I really need to practise drawing poses, I'm not great at it but when I do I'll try draw a proper full scene with a few ponies and a background in this style.

This style is fantastic! It is very reminiscent of G4 but simultaneously unique. And Gusty looks gorgeous in it!
