2014 Minnesota Pony Meet - August 23rd - get ready!

Hi, I'm new to the community (I learned about it at my very first Pony Fair in TN), and I live in the Twin Cities.    May I come to the gathering?  I'd dearly love to meet more pony people.     I started collecting G1's when I was four and with the advent of G3's & 4's, I now have quite a herd.  I collect all of the generations, although most of my herd is G1's and G3's.  I also collect Breyers, MH, LPS, and How To Train Your Dragon toys.

I live in South Mpls, about five minutes from the MOA.  I admit, I'm very much a shy introvert, but I've always, always wanted to meet others who love My Little Pony as much as I do.     I'm also a novice pony customizer. 

I'd also be bringing my husband along, because without his sense of direction, I'd probably end up in Canada.

Welcome Nimrodel!  I think I speak for everyone when I say we would love to have you and your husband join in the meet!  This is an fun, laid back gathering for all who enjoy MLP and as someone who has attended the last 3 years, its a very welcoming, easy going, friendly group of pony people!  I will also have my husband with, so there will be other spouses/children there as well as arena members .

WHAT: to bring? Ponies! Pinkie Pie Party Attitude! Possibly Pot Luck! Stables! G1! G2! G3! G4! Fakies! Baits! Customs! Exclamation Points!!!!
ponies and other merch to sell/trade, something for the potluck, a $10 gift for the mystery swap if participating, few small $1-$3 wrapped gifts for the Gift Grab dice game, and a couple small prizes for the prize table (free things always welcome)

Let's start that list right now:

ponyqueen - cake!
rosier- potato salad and chips (take care of the starches)
seaponey - either a cracker dip or pretzel dip and pickles
Silver Glade - caprese salad and peach cobbler
MoondancerMilkyWay - no clue, but I'm cohosting(ish) so I have to find something when I get there!
mngusy - I'll bring fruit!  Grapes or bananas!  Possible mini cinnamon buns if I can find them at the store!!!  Yum yum!
delphian - I'll bring some sort of rice dish. Either a pilaf or stir fry.
TWILIGHTCOOKIE - can bring Coke and some other flavors of pop, I don't cook much


still need to include in potluck/can someone plan to bring:
main dish of sorts/meat/protein

The meet is being hosted at my house, so I think I can say with some confidence that you are welcome to join the meet, and we are absolutely looking forward to meeting you! Your husband is welcome to attend as well (mine will be here too, and other husbands will be joining also).

Keep checking the thread- I think we're all still chattering about what we are bringing considering food and other things!

Yay, I'm so excited to meet everyone!     I admit, after the pony fair, I was going into pony-withdrawal, and I can't wait to meet MN pony people.   

I have two six-foot, fold-in-half tables and one 3 foot table that I could bring if you still need tables.

Y'know what? Everyone bring your tables! If it's not too much trouble and they fit in cars and such, I'd rather have a few extra than not enough!

Sounds good to me! Will we be indoors or outdoors with the stuff? Also can anyone let me know if your are interested in castles, ponyville playsets, or G4 playsets/ vehicles because if no one is interested in those I would rather leave them at home since they are so big,  will plan on just leaving them at home unless someone tells me to bring them (either way is fine)

Ponyqueen, could we do a free box for people to dig through?  I have some g3 accessories that are worth less than a buck and thought giving it away free would be nice. I am digging through my stuff and might find more items for the free box.
