My almost 6-year-old wants a penpal

My little girl is learning how to read and write and learned about penpals from a story. Now, she wants one :). I think it is a pretty cool idea, because it is nice for her to be able to practice writing and it will give her something to look forward to (who doesn't love getting mail?) however, I am not sure how to go about finding an actual penpal. I don't really feel comfortable just posting our address online somewhere and I want her penpal to be another kid around her age. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about finding her a penpal? Or do any of you fellow pony lovers have any little ones around age 6 that would want a penpal?

My daughter is 7.  She loves drawing and writing.  I can ask her if she'd like a pen pal :D

I think that they typically just swapped with another teacher friend from another school. I think it would be great if another pony person had a youngster you could set her up with.

This is cute! I did this when I was little. Was so much fun! My best friend and I also did it to. We could draw all over the envelope and put stickers all over it to. Was so much fun to see what she had to say :)

That's really cute- I think I had a penpal when I was a kid too- although our laziness eventually caused things to fall apart.

It's especially fun getting stickers from your penpal, just sayin'   :biggrin:
