Pony Withdrawl
« on: January 04, 2014, 09:42:44 AM »
I don't think I've gotten pony mail in at least a week and a half. And I know I haven't SEEN pony people in a while. I'm itching to swap or try to meet up with peeps in my area. Can any of you guys relate?  :what:

Not quite in the same regard, but I've basically got all the ponies I want right now except for four of the new minisets which haven't really come out in full force yet. I miss driving around for a few hours, hitting up all the TRU, Targets, and Walmarts in the area and heading right to the pony sections.

Even when I didn't find anything new, it was still oodles of fun because of the building suspense.

I'm on a pony buying hiatus so I know the feeling. So I'm swapping instead.  >_< Sadly I don't know anyone in my area who collects ponies and would want to hang out

Definitely! I've never actually met another pony person (collector, that is) in real life, save for my immediate family  And there have been periods of time where I've wanted ponies so bad, but had no money available to me!

Ah, the woes of a pony collector...

I'm selling right now, but if I wasn't, I'd be having massive withdrawals! Actually I just bought the  old G1 DVD collection with the G1 art for a steal, so I'm buying pony stuff regardless...

I hadn't bought any ponies for myself since just after the pony fair, because I was taking part in a swap so as a rule I can't shop for myself when someone else is shopping for me!  So It was probably about 5 months since I bought a pony! Crazy!

I bought what I hope is a great condition MGR Sparkler a couple of day ago, and man did it feel good!

I always go through little phases like that :) I just hang around the Arena and that gets me back in the pony spirit. Talking about ponies makes me as happy as getting new ponies in the mail sometimes [and its less expensive he he he].
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I've just been on a small buying spree after a break- so excited to have things on their way  :frolic:   It is hard to wait sometimes and be good, though.  I think sometimes we could use more simple swaps- just a pony or two exchanged within your country, so we can all have more pony mail for less money!  :green:

It would be super fun to meet people in person- I haven't either and Ponycon is out of reach for me this year, at least.  I have also never met another collector in person, at least that I know of!

We will see how long I last not buying ponies. I have to move this year and am buying a house and I trying soooo hard not to buy any ponies in 2014. So far I have survived 4 WHOLE days!!
I have "other" pony related things to keep me occupied, like taking pics of my collection and getting everything I am wanting to sell up for sale.

I've considered starting a Meetup group so collectors in the area could get together to trade, swap and/or sell.

that would be fun for the people who live near you :) I was thinking of hosting a meetup seeing as I live close into Dallas now and have enough space to host a large group~ I don't know if there would be any interest right now though.

Before I started working I bought 3 grails beacuse I knew that once I started working I wouldent find the time and boy was I right. Last september I had bought Munchy, Bubblefish, sea pony shimmer ans water lilly W floats. just last week I bought Hoppy the kangaroo from a member here she should be here soon. This was the first time in a long time I had even the energy to buy collect ponies. Bills first, then meals, then esenchals, then ponies at the bottom of the list. I bought hoppy for my own sanity as a christmas present to myself cus hey I do work my butt off I think a reword is good for me every once in a while. Well and that lalaloopsy I got for half price the day after christmas Mint E swirls :) cheep cheep cheep. Love christmas sales!
