Oh! My sis and I saw some at target tonight. It caught us off guard and we had to do a double take. We're in California and we found them by the trading card section.

I second Target. I just found them there yesterday (I'm in Ohio) and they were indeed up with the trading cards. It was very out of place, as I was looking at Magic the Gathering cards and then noticed the box-o-pony lol. I picked one up just for fun and I think it rang up at $5.99

I'm confused now. The manager at Hot Topic told me that these were HT exclusives. Are there only certain mystery minis that are HT exclusive? Or did they have a period of exclusivity that has now expired, like with the large vinyl collectibles?

from what I understand the hot topic boxes contain both black ponies and show accurate color ones. Whereas the target boxes only contain the black ponies and glow in the dark Pony and DJ.

They have been offered retailer wide - the non Hot Topic exclusives - and I believe due to selling success as lot of the big multi stream retailers will probably carry them.

They are $7.99 at Hot Topic- but you can always hold out for a sale.  They seem to be constantly sold out online...
