Retro Firefly and book?

Can't tell if this has been mentioned before, but I was spending a gift card at Indigo Online, and I stumbled across this:

According to the site, it's on pre-order for April 22, 2014, from a company called Running Press, and the blurb runs as follows:

Everyone loves a pony, and this collectible kit features one of the original My Little Ponies for fans of all ages: a mini-sized Firefly with rooted mane and tail. Kit also includes a star-shaped brush and a 32-page mini book with quotes and retro illustrations.

I'm putting in my pre-order today!

It's nice to finally see a picture of the pony that comes with it

It was found back on Amazon about 2 months ago I think but the pic didn't show up till this month. I'm looking forward to seeing if the pony actually is the mold shown

some people speculate that this pony isn't the normal size of a g1 and think it may be dollymix size but I'm hoping the picture is correct
thus I ordered as well

Yep, we are all waiting to see if it actually comes with a Firefly in that pose/mold, and how big she will be! ^-^

I placed my order with Amazon a couple months ago. Now if they can re-make the G1, why can't they make a G4? (oh that's right, they're too lazy).

I dont expect it to look anything like that promo picture...but will admit I will also be really upset if it doesnt look like a G1 Firefly. Does that make me twisted?

I'm dead curious now!  I think it'll be quite teensy, though.  Those little boxed kits are usually about the size of the palm of my hand...

I may have to order one too, Firefly was a childhood favorite, and still the most special to me.
