What exactly would you call this?
« on: December 24, 2013, 09:21:43 AM »
First gonna apologize that you have to see my bathroom item holder and that it is extremely hideous (we keep meaning to repaint it but the weather hasn't been good enough to leave it outside to dry).

Anyway I bought this a month or two ago at a Flea Market as just something to put in our master bathroom. Our bathroom is huge with the jacuzzi tub on one end the sink on one and the toilet and shower on the other end. Everything is so far spread out we thought having a little cart with wheels to put things you know like towel ect

I was thinking the other day since I'll be getting the rat babies another cart like this would be helpful. I could put the cage on the top and all the supplies and things I need on the shelves when I need to move things easily (they are going to live in my craft room for a bit and will have to be able to move the cage when necessary. Problem is I don't know exactly what you would call this thing to look it up or ask to find one?

Rolling cart is the only thing I can think of, and I'm sure there is a better term

No, I think it is just called a rolling cart.
Although, if you can't find a suitable one it's not hard to add wheels to the bottom of something to turn it into a rolling cart.

you may also want to search AV cart or kitchen cart. I would think a kitchen cart might be nice for having a cage on top since it would probably be sturdier.

Thanks guys! The utility cart and kitchen cart have me some neat searches, and a few stores to check out. I'm waiting since I'm using some Christmas money to buy a new rat cage. Then after I get measurements of the cage to pick a cart. That's awesome I found about five I like an will need to note the space. ^.^

Ah, some districts don't have as much funding to have a projector in each room so the projector gets checked out by the cart. LOL. Now, this is before those smart board thingies taking over...

Well depending on how much you want to spend for a cage...the ferret nation cages can be a great house for your rats. That's what we have. Just google "ferret nation cage". It's a two level cage with wheels and a shelf at the bottom to hold things. It's also on wheels. The holes between the bars are a little too big, though. So we modified ours by ziptying chicken wire to the outsides. But there is a smaller version of the ferret nation called "critter nation" which isn't as big and has smaller holes.

Anyhow...we got our ferret nation cage off of Craigslist. They're pretty pricey brand new. But if you can find a good condition used one, they're great!

Aaaaand for a visual, here is our girls' ferret nation cage.

You can see it's plenty of space for two rats. Actually, the top alone is enough space for two rats lol.

A trolley?

The word "trolley" makes me think of this scene from Harry Potter. Oi I have no life. visitors can't see pics , please register or login
