I'll celebrate the small thrift store victories

Finally. Finally. Finally.  A small victory, but I will happily take it.  I found one stinkin' G1 pony at a thrift store!  :) She happens to be a common Parasol in grubby but nice shape.
Here she is pre-spa.

Here she is post spa (on the right) with my childhood Parasol (on the left). I used a tail bow to make sure I can tell who is who. Honestly, she is in better shape than my childhood pony.  :blush:

I was so excited (yes even over a pony I already have) that I almost couldn't believe it and kept checking to make sure she wasn't an anniversary re-release or something. I will probably keep her as a memento of my thrift store persistence paying off.

I know how you feel!  I never have much luck finding G1 ponies at thrift stores or the likes.  Congrats on snagging Parasol.  Hopefully she is just the start of a good run of G1 finding luck!

Congratulations! I'm glad to see that your first G1 thrift find is a pony that you like. =) In my opinion, thrifted G1s are extra special because you were fated to own them. I'm happy to see that Parasol found her way into the hands of someone who will appreciate her.

Finding a G1 in a thrift store or flea market is a real treat. Finding one that's an upgrade? Icing on the cake.

Congrats finding a G1 pony at the thrift! I don't know if I've -ever- found a G1 there.. lots of G3s though :lol: they seem to be pretty plentiful still.
