Baking clay on a TE?
« on: December 17, 2013, 05:34:38 AM »
I have a very sad looking Fizzy, who has holes in her body. I would love to give her a new lease on life and make her into a carousel pony. Would it melt her eye gems if I bake her in the oven? I would really like to hand sculpt a bridle on her but want to keep her jeweled eyes. Just looking to see if anyone has tried it before. Thanks so much!  :)

Iiit may. I've baked things with jewels from the craft store that were very similar to the TE eyes and it melted them. But I've never done a TE to know for sure.

TEs are a different plastic and I would think in the oven they'd melt.
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

maybe try no-bake clay? I recently got a tub of Magic Sculpt (online) and its freaking awesome to work with.

I didn't think of that. That would most definitely be my best bet. :)

I had a feeling the eye gems would probably melt but I figured I'd better ask.
