G4 wing removal

I took a chance on a small Luna to see if it could be done.
I cut the wings off with an exacto-knife and a sanding cloth. Now I'm taking sweetlittlejenny's suggestion, and
I'll use acetone to smooth out any bumps or discoloration.

Anybody ever do this with a Fluttershy before? I'd like to know.

I've done it with Fluttershy to make a couple of Poseys, I didn't worry about cleaning it up perfectly but I'm sure it could be done

sanding and acetone  will help smooth out the rough spots.

I had 4 and there was no unicorns of that color made by Hasbro yet.
Besides, I'll find someone to make out of it.

I will be doing a RainbowDash at some point but I was under the assumption that they were hollow and created a hole when removed. I was going to turn her into a MGR anyways so I wasn't worried about the hole anyways.

Nah, RD's wings will come off fine with no holes.

yeah true makes sense if you had spares .  still the collector in my is a little pained by this  sating that  im sure you will make an amazing custom out of her!.


Aednatia ,   you might be thinking of the cadence sculpt ponies in regards to the wing removal leaving a hole in the body .  ( you have to take the wing block out to get at the tail.

I dug up an old pic, the two on the left had their wings removed. As you can see I wasn't bothered by the slightly rough texture but it could be sanded away pretty easily I reckon... I was just being lazy when I made them.
