I don't love him enough to spend that kind of money, unfortunately. I love the body, and I love that it comes in tan, but now that there are more pictures I look at his face and I'm just not getting "the" feeling. And for that price, I have to be in love.

I want them all now!  More so a centaur now than ever, but darn they are all so cute! 

So, since I am so new to this, walk me through it...when you order, do you pay the doll off slowly or is it all at once a huge sum of money?  And how on earth do you decide who to do a faceup with?  There are so many talented artists out there, and I'm overwhelmed with so many people...plus, it's such a huge group, with so many names and types and codes...it's so complicated!

How you pay and if it can be split depends on where you buy from. If you're buying brand new, some companies offer layaway plans and some don't, and some have longer time periods than others. Most company layaways fall in about the 1-3 month range, but I've found that a layaway as long as three months is pretty rare.

Now, some brand new dolls can be ordered through retailers like Mint on Card and Denver Doll. These places have pretty great layaway options. Mint On Card offers up to 6 months, Denver Doll up to 4.

If you are buying a second hand doll from a private seller, a lot of people will allow you to arrange to pay in several payments if it's a more expensive item, but that can really vary depending on the seller.

As far as faceup goes, you have a couple of options. If you like the look of what the company offers you can pay for default faceup from them. If you don't like what they've offered or have a specific style in mind, then you just have to shop around. Are you a member of Den of Angels yet?

@Fiwen, I love that dragon! I was so captivated by it when I first saw it. I'm really surprised his first owner decided to sell so quickly, since she seemed so enaumored with him. But im glad he has a new home where he is truly loved!

More centaur spam for you then!  She's finally here and I was able to fashion a temporary wig for her and found some random clothes that fit. She doesn't have her faceup yet, but she's been slightly modified to be a little more happy and feminine. No name yet either for sure, although Rose is growing on me.

She's so cute argh!
