Collection Resolutions 2014

So many G4 plushies. I just need all the dashes...and all the Bootleg Lunas.

Wasn't there one of these in the Nirvana forum as well last year? Ah well I will combine

-rebuy some of the Nirvanas I had to sell last year
-add a new Nightlight to my Nightlight collection
-rebuy all the wingers since they are gone
-sew a ton of pony plush
-sell off more ponies to make room for dolls and model horses

And one more because I can
Empty out my rehair box/repair box and get those ponies going

7. get better storage bins for ponies not on display (or convince hubby to let me put up more pony shelves) and keep them together (not randomly all over every room in the house)
8. make my first custom (a dye and re-hair with my RL horse`s hair)
9. get my current grail - sugarberry
10. NO more evil-bay bidding wars

I'm thinking my resolution will be to downsize my collection. Not get rid of it completely, but make the collection smaller and more manageable. My only problem is I don't know if I want to bother with selling them online and having to put up with shipping, or just see if I can get bites on Kijiji.

oh my I still have not completed paradise estates like a wanted to, nor have I taken pics of each and every pony yet. I did however add two nirvana ponies.

So this year I want to

1. Take pics of all my ponies
2. complete paradise estates
3. update play set/clothes/pones/accessories list.

Lol your post reminded me. How could I forget PE my grail! I should buy that this year, but I'm trying to hold off till the fair and hoping there is one I can pick up.

Last years resolutions were to track down a couple of grail accessories - which I have done - WOO HOO - but also to sort collection, finish website and organise pony room - all of which not done - *hangs head in shame*

So 2014 is sort collection, finish website, organise pony room, sell/trade mountain of doubles, put the 4 boxes of unorganised accessories on display. Also track down a couple of impossible to find Dutch combs

My resolution was to knock the herd under 100. I hit 600 in '05 and haven't bought a single pony since (more out of lack of extra space in the budget and trying to stick to the budget than anything else). I went on a huge purge last year and again this year and I'm down to 119. Still 20 days left in the year! Next year I want to get down to 10. The ponies aren't the only things going; books, vintage Littlest Pet Shop, pretty much all of my college artwork, the extra dishware set, and lots of misc things. I now own probably 1/4 what I owned last year Feels awesome!

Hm, I have not made collection resolutions list before. So here goes....
-clean all ponies, super spa day!!
-make a list of all ponies in collection
-rehair bald ponies (buy hair)
-finish my first custom, start and finish second custom, then no more
-get some more blind bag ponies, card folder
-get Bubbles G1
-get my first G2

Obtan grail -Hollywood
Collect over 1,000 different ponies
Attend and sell customs at a pony convention
keep up with G4 releases
Organize/label all accessories
add all pony merchandise to the Ponydex
update photos for the Ponydex/ spa all ponies for nice photos -I made good progress on this one I did managed to do all my G3's 
make replacement wings for flutters -only one set shy! I'm sure I can do it by new years!
Start G2 collection

Next years Resolution-

keep up with G4 releases bah, I wish. How about keep up with new characters and blind bags, that is more do-able.
add all pony merchandise/playsets to the Ponydex
update photos for the Ponydex/ spa all ponies for nice photos
Get/make an awesome Luna Plush pony
Pick and obtain a new grail
Add a new book shelf to the pony room to display all the ponyville
Finish putting together the pony room and take nice photos
Finish restoring bin of restore ponies
add to growing herd of Italians

My biggest resolution 2014 is to better store my girls, my closet is almost full already with more to come! 0_o Over the next year I hope to focus on finding good bargains and would absolutely love to find just one G1 in a market over the next year- doesn't even really matter the condition I just would love the thrill of finding one I have some ponies in mind that I would truly love to own and would really like to complete the year one set over the next year, they are my priority for 2014

I only started collecting 6 months ago so my collection is doing REALLY well so far. I have some new year's resolutions though...

1. Buy glass fronted cabinets for display
2. Finish my G3 collection: Starsong, Cheerilee, Sweetie Belle, Blossomforth, Fluttershy, Bowtie, June Rose, Flower Wishes, Jewel Pony Set (9) and a pony for each season e.g. Spring Fever, Autumn Skye, Shell Belle. Any release as found/preferred
3. Get some G1 second set rainbow ponies

My goals remain the same every year - because I never get them finished! 

But we moved into a new house last March, so there's a whole new Pony Room to develop (we're calling it the Geek Cave, because I'm sharing it with my Roommate and her MOTU collection).  And I'm still on my quest to catalogue and photograph my entire collection.  I'll never be finished, but it's fun working on it.

Didn't have any resolutions for last year that I can recall, but hmm, next year, let's see...

• Get a brushable Lily Blossom, finally.
• Get all the other early G4s I'm still missing.
• Reacquire Little Flitter!
• Reacquire the petites I used to have, too.
• Get my hands on a G2--and not just the head of one this time. 
• Come up with better storage/display solutions for my ponies!
