RESOLVED

Here are pictures of the finish custom  ^.^

http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,345926.new.html#new

Hi!

I want to make my next custom. In the argentinian virtual shop I saw a G3 Sweetie Belle "Core Friends", and she has the color and pose that I want for my custom :)

But I´m wondering if I will be able to remove the cutie mark and lollipos.... the pony is new in box, it is expensive, and if I can´t remove all those symbols the custom won´t be pure white... and I can´t find other g3 white of that pose here...

I ask that because I used acetone to remove Desert Rose and Lullabelle symbols, but the rose of the first wasn´t remove at all, and also the body turned a little yellow in the places that I used the acetone. I don´t know if that is for the acetone or that the paint wasn´t remove well....

What is your experiense with this? I will love any advice  ;)

Here a pic of the Sweetie Belle that I maybe will buy:

White ponies can be a little tricky. I've never tried to remove a Sweetie Belle's paint, but I had trouble with a Sunny Daze awhile back. I ended up having to sand the body to get most of the dye off.

Also, if the pony is expensive, maybe you should consider trying to find a cheaper version. Sweetie Belle is pretty common, I'm sure there are bait versions of her that you can find, without using a brand-new-in-box G3. Try posting in the Wanted forum, or looking in Trades/Sales.

Thanks for the answer ;)

I know that she is common and that here is posible to find her. My problem is that I haven´t paypal or international credit cards, so I only can buy ponies from Argentina, and in my country there aren´t many sellers. I was lucky to find another Sweetie Belle, only few G3s appear on the argentinian virtual shop

As Twizel said, sometimes white ponies ad there symbols are really tricky. I have used a normal Sweetie Belle once for a customs(G3 Moondancer) and her symbol doesn't come off totally. There were a few shadows from the purple on her body...
I will see if I have a Sweetie Belle here and if I can remove her symbol. I will tell you...

There is also more then one Sweetie Belle, you might be able to find another version with just the heart if the lolipops don't come off very well  - best friends, discount store and easter pack.

I'm not sure if she would yellow if you tried to sun fade or peroxide the remaining symbol parts that didn't come off

I'm fairly certain I have Sweetie Belle in that same pose but without the lollis and extra stuff.

I dunno how long shipping from PA to Argentina would be though. >< (I'm not gonna use her, I don't think.)

Thanks to all for the answers and kindness :lovey:

I already bought her with the lollipops

I haven´t tried to remove the symbold yet... I´m not worried for the cutie mark since I will paste a flower in that place. For the lollipos if I can´t remove them at all I will think in other decorations to paste over them

I will show you the results when I finish the custom, I want to make it in the next days ;)

Well, I already finished my custom, the lat two days I was all the day making it

Here you can see pictures: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,345926.new.html#new

This pony was the one most easy to remove the paint for me. I´m wondering if that is because the pony was new in box.... maybe if it wasn´t exposed to moisture the paint doesn´t sink in the plastic?

 ;)
