you don't need acitone to remove paint/symbols or to losen the glue holding the hair in.
you just use really hot water!
or is that why most people boil their ponies?

Yes it is a known trick to try and loosen the glue with hot water. I don't know about most people but I never boiled a single pony.

Neither have I. The suggestion that this may happen is terribly concerning for anyone who tends to give ponies hot baths
This sounds more like a new risk than anything helpful. Does OP have a better description of the process? Because I barely believe it as is.

Yep. I've boiled G1s to correct stance issues and not once as it taken off a symbol.

The only time I've ruined a symbol with hot water is with a Magic Message pony.  Aside from those, I think you're pretty safe to use hot water on ponies.

I agree I would always use hot water for removing glue from hair [or baby oil ]

As to removing symbols...unless its a Magic Message pony...then I doubt very much hot water will take symbols off. I cant count the amount of ponies I have used hot water with or even boiled on a few occasions with no issues on symbols at all

I've used hot water a lot in my cleanings and never had issue with the symbols 0-0

I'm sorry to say it, but maybe that's because the G4 toys are such a lower quality than the G1 toys.

Do you have a before and after image out of nosiness? I genuinely have never heard of warm water removing a symbol - unless you were scrubbing the symbol very hard of if it had already been treated with acetone/rubbing alcohol or similar.
