I don't think leaving a neg would be warranted. It also wouldn't be fair. What more do you want from the seller? They quickly refunded your money and apologized for the mix up. Maybe there was something else at work, though I highly doubt something shady was going on with it all happening that quickly, and if there was, there's nothing you could do to prove it, and assuming such is not fair. Mistakes DO happen. Sellers on Ebay are human after all. Yes, there may have been ponies you wanted but we don't always get what we want and things don't always pan out. If you had paid, and two weeks had gone by before them letting you know they didn't have the item and would refund you in a few days, THEN you would have a case for a negative! All you are out of is a half hour of your time. You got your money back and the seller apologized very profusely for the mix-up. I'd leave it at that versus tarnishing someone's reputation for a MINOR mix-up, which is what it was.
I don't think you can leave feedback after you cancel a transaction and the seller can probably get it removed if you do anyway since the transaction didn't take place. That really sucks that it happened to you but the seller seems nice and polite - hopefully just an honest mistake!May the eBay karma gods smile upon you and you find an even better pony lot
