Need help with an old animation cel, please!

Hi there. Been lurking here for a while but I'm in desperate need of help figuring something out. We went to a convention yesterday (FX Show in Orlando) and there was a gentleman there with thousands of unsorted animation cels. After digging through them we happened upon this old MLP one.

He sold it to us for next to nothing but he had no idea what it was from. We've asked a few friends, one of which said it might be French. I've also search everything google has to offer and have come up empty handed. I know turn to you good people. Does anyone here have any idea where/what this cel is from or even who the characters might be? We would be ever so greatful for any help

Not sure about the characters but it look like it's from My little pony tales.
Possibly the wedding episode.

Yep- I think it's Clover's sister and her husband/future husband.  Good find!

Yes that is Cheval (the groom) and Clover's sister Meadowlark (the bride). Congrats on a great find! I've actually seen quite a few different My Little Pony Tales animation cells around, I found a couple at an anime convention once. But most of the time you see only half a character or some piece of the background. Have two full characters on the same cell is actually really cool! It's probably pretty valuable!

So, I'm guessing that $5 her charged was a good price?  There may be value to it but we'll never sell it. It's priceless to us.

Wow, yeah that's a nice cel of Meadowlark and Cheval! $5 is a very good price for it. I have some MLP Tales cels as well of my favorite character (Teddy, of course). They actually aren't worth a whole lot since that series wasn't very popular for some reason (I love it, though!). I got all of my cels for $20 or less.

As others have mentioned getting a cell with a couple of complete characters is pretty awesome!

$5 is a good price too. The more complete the scene the more expensive they tend to be and I actually think they have all been increasing in price over the last 18 months or so. I think FiM has brought more people to collecting and also an increase in interest in the previous cartoon versions of MLP. $5-8 is probably about right for it unless you find someone specifically interested in these characters
