Ooooo! Thats an interesting find! Never heard of it before though.

It does however remind me of the Japanese compound called Oyumaru which is used for modeling and gives precise results for molding as well. In the case of Oyumaru, the plastic is available in sticks that you soften with hot water (so you don't need to do the initial "melting" yourself). It's available in a very wide range of colors including transparent, glitter and glow in the dark! I've used it for making molds but I doubt the Oyumaru material would stick to ponys.

Otherwise there's also Sugru which is a self-setting rubber for fixing, modifying and improving your stuff. From what I've heard, Sugru sticks to virtually anything...

Makes me think of the pellets for Friendly Plastic. I've only played with the strips of it though... I'd be interested in it for some projects I wanted to do for a long time

apparently in the mold making section it does say it will stick to most plastics
Quote
Plastimake won’t stick to most metal and ceramic surfaces, but it will stick to some plastics. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline, oil or another mould release agent if you’re concerned that Plastimake might stick to the item you’re making a mould of.

Looks just like Instamorph, which is another one of those pellet plastic things.  I used it recently to make business card holders/stands for my vendor table, and have experimented with it on ponies.  Yes, it sticks to them very easily, and actually ripped the pony when I tried to remove it.

dose any one have any photos of  customs , or even WIPs using any of the mentioned products?

looks like there are a few different brands out there!.    id love to see how  this stuff works 'on customs, restorations etc.

they don't have to be ponies it can be any toys you've used this stuff on.   I'm dying to see some now
