Oh my goodness so much love!
I love all of the variety on your cuties, from the little fishes and Guinea pigs to the big doggies and cats :D

This one is mine, his name is Nalle and he is a goofy-head!  :P

I got him when he was all ready 8 years old, the family who had him till then could no longer take care of him due to being very busy and moving as well as him being a bit of a trouble maker.

They told me he had become more and more aggressive and that they did not feel they could handle him anymore.
So he was very insecure when he first moved in with me, he was the first dog to ever bite me but he was still clinging to me like I was his only lifeline. He'd howl and cry if he was not in the same room with me for more than a few seconds.

So it sure has been a lot of work, but now that we have been together for some years he does not bite anyone anymore, he is a lot more confident ( for better or worse?! ) and is generally a very happy and curious old man :)
Here's a photo from his last birthday party ( I was so proud of that cake! )

He loves going outdoors to play with his buddy Silver ( my parents dog ) although  they both get kinda tired afterwards.

I call him my little troll dog, as my mother used to call me her little troll child, he sure is a funny little pumi dog :)

Everyone's fur babies are so cute!  Cuspids story is so heart warming!  Like she was brought to you for a reason.  I saw Jasper two weeks before I adopted him officially.  The people that found the litter brought them all into where a work (at a vet hospital) and asked if anyone wanted them (and got them examined and deformed)  I already had him in my arms and they saw a sucker. I told them I was leaving for vacation and needed time to think it over before I say yes, and to please keep looking for him a home.

I decided if they still had him when I got back I would take him.  They called my work the day I was going to call them to let me know they still had him.

They ended up keeping his other two siblings since they just couldn't find them a home. At first they had planned a trap spay/neuter and release the kittens they couldn't find homes for.  But well they must of warmed their ways into their hearts and they are keeping both.  And the fourth kitten of the litter found a home with her friend.

Aaaw, I love everyone's pets (I'd say fur babies but I love seeing everyone's fishes and newts and all those lovely non-fur babies)!  ^.^

I really like this picture, it reminds me of the 'proof that cats are a liquid' meme.

Here's a slightly blurry picture of my silly bubbies, Biffy and Sabah, doing the running around. Both of their mummies were dumped when pregnant.  :(

Everyone has such lovely pets :)
Barbgirl, your guineas are gorgeous!
Here are my babies, Sweep & Teddy (Theodore when he's been naughty).  :lovey:
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

They're spoiled little princes & they know it.  ;)
Sweep's bossy & pompous, but he's a real mummy's boy. Teddy's timid & eats everything in sight.
I may have over-indulged them because they're absolutely enormous. xD
They like to snuggle up together on my lap & watch tv. ^-^

Posting in this thread seems a little appropriate today. My little Pepper mouse passed away today after an illness. She's the little black and white one  -_-

Well prepare for major picture spam and stories..

Firstly (I found these pictures first). I rescued my little Simba from a junk yard. Very very dangerous place for kitties. His mother and father were both feral and he was becoming feral himself. Simba was then 'kitnapped' by one of my brother's friends and nearly sold for bad things. So I bought Simba back from this guy for $20. I was not going to let my baby be stolen from me and then sold for bad things. Who knows what they could have done to him. He's in a much better place now and loved dearly and he loves me right back with 10 headbumps a day and lots of snuggles.

So without further ado.. Here's Simba!

Next up is Shelby. I rescued her from a rescue organization. She was only 10 weeks old. She was very very small! She's like the size of a horse now being crossed between Labrador, Rottweiler and Ridgeback. She's the happiest dog you could ever ever meet. She's always either smiling or wagging her tail. Her whole body moves when she wags that whip of hers! She's just a real sweetheart and very loving.

Okay, next up is my boys Romeo, Elvis, Squeakers and Cookie. I bought 'em all from pet shops back in January 2012. They're all the best of friends and love hanging out and they're super loving. Don't let the word RAT fool you, they are gorgeous pets and a big part of my family. I know their time is near though..

*sighs* Yes I know, I have lots of pets. Here's my beautiful budgie Pinkie (named after Pinkie Pie because of how random and crazy she is.) I got her back in March because the pet shop she was at was closing down. Not sure why, think it was cleanliness reasons because she came to me with mites which that problem has been fixed with love and affection! (and mite spray..)

And RIP my beautiful baby Buffy who was put to sleep on Halloween. Her story is quite a sad one. We got her from a breeder back in June 2006 and we didn't know she had problems. Vitamin D deficiency was one of her problems and fits. She was also the runt of the litter. Despite these issues, she lived a full life. She was a very strong girl. Though because of her VDD, she would stop eating. She'd be emaciated when she'd start eating again. We had tried probably over 40 different dog foods in her life. Only recently she started having watery black eye problems and just stopped eating again.. Then in the last 3 days of her life, she was getting weaker and weaker until she couldn't even open her eyes anymore or walk and her breathing was loud and raspy.. We said our final goodbyes and cried together as she was very dearly loved. We miss her everyday.. Here's pictures of her.

Spike, your Buffy is so beautiful, I understand how much you must miss her.
The dog I grew up with is gone too and I still miss her as if I lost a sister.

mkia9, wow your babies sure are living in luxury! Awesome piggy home!

I am really enjoying this thread! And it has taught me that Simba is a very popular name for adorable little cuties :D

And this is why I adore the Arena :) it makes me feel right at home :)

Let's start from the beginning.
This is Nala, my first kitty since I moved to Iceland. My sister in law's friend had her since she was a kitten and we babysat for her when she was a few months old and we fell in love. We then heard that she will be looking for a new home soon after and the rest is history :)

Cuddly Nala

Then came Penny who we adopted as an adult through my teacher whose friend couldn't keep her, so my teacher asked me knowing I'm cat-crazy. She's the only animal in the house that indisputably loves my husband more than me and she always sleeps next to his head :)

Lounging Penny

Penny being uncomfortable outside in our garden. She's a scaredy cat but she wants to go out and munch on grass.

Next came Aska - the love of my life. I never thought I could love a cat this much (I was always more of a dog person) but I absolutely adore her. I found her in our street when she was 2 months old with the idea of rehoming her, but it took me a whole of half a day to fall in love with her forever :) She just grew into the most adorable, playful ,goodnatured cat you can imagine. She's cuddling with me here on the table as I (try to) type :lovey:

On her new toy :)

Aska in the Sink, her natural habitat :) AKA, you don't want to know how many times i had to brush in the kitchen :P

Aska being a cutest little fluff-ball.

Last but not least is our adorable bundle of silliness, Yrja. We adopted her earlier this year. Her mom is a black lab and her dad is a mix of Icelandic Shepherd and Border Collie. She and our cats get along really well, and she and Aska have become quite a duel when they want stuff from me, which is always :P they compliment each other really well :)

Yrja has such a cute little face (how do you pronounce that, by the way?).  ^.^

This thread makes me regret the fact that I can't have any cats or small furries any more, because Biffy would try to eat them.  :(

Thanks Whippy, she has mastered the cute-puppy charms quite well, I must say :) her name is pronounced EER-ya and is an old Icelandic name :)

And I know what you mean, because of my kitties I don't think I can ever have anything smaller, but I guess it all comes with the territory.

Aska in fluffball position makes me melt. Everytime I find one of ours sleeping like that I just want to squish my face right in and cuddle. But they don't like that so I have to squeee quietly on the side and just watch.
