Hasbro, why you no give us AJ and Rarity Crystal Keychain!?

Its from the toyfair 2011, sorry if this is such old news but im so sad! The crystal keychains are all over my Toys R Us right now, and I didnt know about this picture!  Last week, I looked at their keychains and say only pink and blue. I didnt know they planned on making AJ or Rarity!? Or... did they and I missed out? I dont ever remember seeing the AJ and Rarity in stock, just the other two. Does anypony have the AJ or Rarity crystal keychains or are they legendary? I really want that AJ, too cute!

I don't know- I've never seen them in stores- only Pinkie and Rainbow.  It would be cool if they would release more of them though!

They weren't Hasbro. They were licensed merch from a 3rd party that didn't sell that well.

Yes, it was a real shame that they never released more of these keychains. Other photos from the same fair show Applejack and a white version of Rarity on package, so they were definitely planned:

But years ago when people asked about further releases of these, the standard response was "not now". Wish they had've admitted the plan was "not ever", I hoped for these up until last year.

This. Its not Hasbros call unfortunately, its the licensees. I guess they dont think they will get enough up take on anyone other than the financially friendly PP and RD or maybe the first release did not sell well enough for them at all. Unfortunately there is probably a commercial reason at the core.

I would have loved to get the Rarity one! At least we know there's one Rarity and AJ in existence. Wonder who has them?

I remember when Pinkie and Rainbow were selling like hot cakes on ebay! They got quite pricey, but people still bought them. I was never able to find them in stores until they finally showed up at Hot Topic but I didn't like the price Found Pinkie at Rite Aid for $5 though a few months ago and I'm hoping they'll have Dash eventually

I still hope they do release the Rarity & AJ someday, though it's been so long since those prototypes were seen I'm not sure I should still be holding out hope. I did notice the Pinkie & RD ones have returned to TRU recently though. I think the Dash one is lighter blue than the one I've had since 2011. Maybe that means new production?

More like why do we hardly get anything Applejack or Rarity - I am sick of seeing Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie on everything. They've literally become my least favorite characters because they're so over done.

Agreed.  Rainbow Dash is the brony mascot I assume.  Every time you see anything MLP is usually has brony on it and rainbow dash.  Not always but usually.  It would be nice to see other characters.  I did see a neat Zecora bag at Toys R Us and thought about getting it but I didn't want to be labeled as a brony, I just like Zecora.

I am SO sad that those two were never released.  They were the two characters (my favorites of the main 6) that I was really looking forward to getting!! I see RD and Pinkie Pie everywhere now.  I couldn't imagine that they're not selling well.  I think my MiL got me one from Rite-Aid recently.  And they're at Hot Topic, TRU, and the original PP and RDs I got were from Five Below.

Awesome, never to be released stuff makes me sad ... Like those adorable pearly G4 flower fillies ...

I was hoping for these for a while, too.  The RD/PP ones were the first pieces of merch I picked up before getting sucked into the BBs, brushies, and Funkos.  I loved how nice their molded hair looked and their keychain parts were easy to remove.  I would've gone nuts for AJ but especially Rarity...
