Working on a cosplay but need a little advice

So I am thinking of making a zecora outfit but I'm a bit contusion on how to do my hair. Should I just take black and white ribbons in my ponytail? Anyone else done zecora?

I'm thinking of a short black and white dress whit possibly a white crynlyn  to give it a little poof. Black boots and possibly gold ribbon to simulate the bangles and her neck bands.  Also a bit of help on the ears would be helpfull.

So do you all think a Long or short dress would be better

thats a good idea! i do have dark brown/black hair naturaly.

now if i do knee lenght would black leggins be ok to wear?

If I were doing a Zecora inspired 'do I think I'd do several ponytails down the center of your head to make a Mohawk shape with alternating black and white ribbons.
