am pretty sure putting it in the sun would make it yellower... but if someone has a spare and wants to try, it could be interesting!

It's my understanding that UV light (sunlight) is what possibly causes the yellowing of the bubbles, so....I definitely wouldn't recommend putting it in the sun. ;) (Not to mention you would fade the pony inside the bubble as well.)

Although...people have told me they had MOC ponies in dark storage for many years and they still end up being yellowed, so I don't think we have a definite answer on what causes some bubbles to yellow and not others. It's just something that happens during the aging of the plastic and I seriously doubt there is a way to reverse it.

Yes as mentioned unfortunately its the plastic degrading. Kind of how glue or tape turns brittle and yellow over time...the same idea.

Putting it in the sun will just cause the problem to get worse unfortunately.

Whitening toothpaste maybe? And that is a very big maybe. I can see that posing a threat to the card, especially with running water.

Maybe the same treatments people use on yellowed playsets?  I wonder if that would eat through it.

If anyone has a loose spare this would be very interesting to investigate, see if there is any method to clear up a yellowed bubble even just a little?
