Fangirling/Fanboying - when does it end!?

I am in my late 30s and I am a total fangirl over my favourite TV shows and (male) actors.  Although I am married I harbour a huge crush on Jason Momoa (most recently from Game of Thrones fame).  I post on TV show forums and discuss characters and story lines to death.  I have even been known to stamp my feet, clap my hands together and squeee in excitement when the latest episode of Survivor begins

I just get bothered by all these faux pas that are imposed on us

here's something to think about:  if you were nuts over sports teams, it'd be considered perfectly normal to wait in line for hours to see an event, dress up in face paint and sports jerseys, and scream for your team, even getting into fights over sports teams is considered normal!

Most of my friends know I collect ponies.  I guess that's my biggest obsession.  When X-Files was on the air, that was my favorite show, and I was pretty much a fangirl of that - I went to X-File conventions, collected magazine covers and all sorts of memorabilia.  While in high school I even convinced one of my friends to help me paint Mulder and Scully on our art room door.  (Teacher approved, of course, lol!)  I still love the X-Files, but I have pared down my collection of it since being married because I only have room/time/money for one collection, and ponies wins hands down!

Good point lunar! Also, it's perfectly fine for guys to obsess over cars to no end as well!

And oh X-Files!! I love them too! it was my favourite show growing up, and to this day, the only television show or film that truly scares me at times (did someone mention Eugene Tooms ). I am now rewatching it with my hubby, and am finally watching last few seasons for the first time

OMG, the episodes with Tooms freak me out too!  That, and the episode titled "Home."  *shudders*
