glittery g4 (ish) fakies at Michaels

just a heads up. yesterday at work a friend pointed them out when we were sorting out the truck that morning. a handful of the little glittery beasties. complete with little crowns. so you fakie collectors, keep an eye out at your local Michaels. or drop me a line if you want me to pick any up for you once theyre really on the shelves. ill snap a pic when im at work next if we still have them. =P

I got mine at Asda in Brighton, of all places. The only ponies I found on my last England trip were McDs ponies, so I satisfied myself by also picking up a few interesting fakies. I have the blue and the pink ones.

Those fakies have been around forever, and they seem to migrate around. I bought them from Dollar Tree in August 2011, then later I spotted them at Big Lots with a different manufacturer, so I wouldn't be surprised if they found a new home at Michael's.

(For those who are curious, the Dollar Tree ponies are labled "Greenbrier Inc." on their packaging, which is the Dollar Tree company. When I noticed them at Big Lots, they were marked "JaRu.")

On a side note, these were actually the very first ponies I bought when I decided to collect. At that point, I had identified myself as collecting solely fakies and Sea Ponies. That's definitely changed now! Though I do still pride myself in my fakie army. I do have a soft spot in my heart for these little guys simply for being the first. I actually never took them off their cards because I think their packaging is so pretty. (Not to mention that a friend of mine decarded hers for customization, and they were extremely brittle and too difficult to work with. I don't really like the way they are made. But they look nice!)

There's a purple one too!!! :0000 They had huge piles of th epink and blue ones at my local dollar tree. Oh my goodness. I need to get back out there when I go shopping and find that purple one.

I snagged them at my dollar tree too.

(Side note: The tiaras are an absolute perfect fit for Monster High dolls. It's like they were made for them. So I bought a second set and stole the tiaras for my dolls and gave the ponies away to my nieces)

The tiaras actually look really similar to the eyelash Princesses ones.

I do think these are cute And they seem to keep on popping up. The Pinkie Pies of the fakie world I guess
