Black cats...

Love seeing all the black kitties!  This is my mom's black cat.  I adopted him from the shelter a couple of years ago to give to my mom for Christmas.  She says he is the best Christmas present she ever got.    His name is Cap'n Jack Sparrow and he is part Siamese.

Heres my black cat Wolverine, my girl gray cat Bella is in the back thinking Really Mom its 6am in the morning give me my food!
He thinks he is more of a Dog than a cat. He will play fetch all day long, does tricks, and comes to you every time you call. He wants to be on me all the dang time! He is a licker too which drives me crazy. He is getting fat but he still finds ways to climb into my hoodies of my shirts and likes me to carry him around. Hes a pain in my neck for real! Oh and hes a food theif. Hes favorite food to steal is Poptarts! He will come right up to you like hes wants love than grabs the food and dashes off to eat it

I found another picture of my cat Dinah on my mom's computer. She was about 12 in this picture. From the time I was little she LOVED ridding in my babydoll strollers. So when I just so happened to find one in the closet, I set it out for her and she climbed in and waited for me to push her. I miss her alot.

I had a black and white cat that died a few years ago at the age of 12 from diabetes while I was away at college. He was such a beautiful cat. His name was Boots and I miss him very much. I don't have any pictures of him on my new computer though.

Re the topic of people not adopting black cats (or animals in general), a friend of ours that volunteers for the shelter says that one of the reasons is that they are really just hard to photograph well (their cute faces don't show up as easily)- also people tend to be more afraid of black animals for whatever reason.

Our next cats are definitely going to be a couple of black kitties from the shelter... but of course that is many years away (or so I hope- I want my current kitties to live forever)

I love seeing everybody's gorgeous black cats. I have two of my own.^^ One I've shown here before is my three year old tuxedo cat, Nightfury, and the other is my seven month old kitten Eclipse. We got her in late May when she was six weeks old.
