Card Swap 2013 -> all done!

Wow 43 so far! There's someone I'm waiting on their secret word from.... they've read my PM but no response - sadly if they don't respond they won't be in the swap.

Still a day left to sign up - I wonder if we'll get to 50! We've broken last year's number, but haven't reached my record yet (64 participants one year).

Since we have a lot of participants this year, will we be able to send more cards out to more people?  In other words, if we do get 50 people: 5 groups of 10 people?

Wow! That's a lot of sign ups. Definitely the biggest swap I've been in!

Nope, the groups will stay at 5 cards.

Year after year I have to chase a majority of participants to find out if they received their last few cards. It seems after about 6 or 7 they just ignore me and the swap. And I get countless responses of "oh, I think I got all 10 but I can't remember now". I am tired of chasing everyone. If people don't tell me they have received their cards - I don't know if I can clear the senders from the swap. That is not fair to anyone. 5 is a much more manageable number for everyone.

That's quite understandable Kiwi It's too bad that people need to be chased down, oh well. Hopefully with this group it wont be a issue

I do have one question though. Do the postcards have to be holiday themed?

Favorite MLP? Is all of them an appropriate answer? I have a great fondness for G4 Twilight Sparkle and Rarity, and G2 Silver Swirl (I like unicorns!)

Other tidbits of information? I actually collect postcards, so I'm happy with anything anyone sends out, be it holiday related or not! I'm also a masters student in law, so this will be a nice cheer-up project during the bleaker parts of the semester And I collect and blog about books in my spare time.

Your winter holiday? Reading break! (Well, actually Christmas, but by the end of December, all I care about is sleeping )

And as for envelope or no, I don't care. I like postcards no matter what they look like!

I can totally see where you're coming from. More cards sounds awesome to those getting cards but more stressful for those trying to chase them down and make sure they all go out!

If anyone wants to do more art stuff than the 5 I'd totally be down with like a private swap (ATC, post cards, ect) or two.

Nope! You can do anything you like (within reason -I wouldn't suggest birthday cards lol )

I like 5. I did this one before and I have no idea if my cards were ever rececived. I do remember getting one from Poland in like the middle of april.

No problem.  It will probably be cheaper, too - at least for me, with my plans for handmade cards.
