Basic shipping info-USA to Canada for a newbie
« on: October 19, 2013, 11:20:58 AM »
Hi All,

I have some basic questions about shipping from the US to Canada.

I've had a couple of opportunities to sell to people there, but if I use the US shipping calculator it seems like it would cost about 12.00 US; is this correct?  It seems a little high and I was wondering if I was doing it wrong, or if there was a better way.  Thanks

Actually, it depends on what you are sending. And are you using a scale? If you are sending a pony, it costs about $7 first class if shipping in a bubble envelope.

It's one pony, but a nicer one that's a SS.  Would a bubble envelope be enough protection?  I don't want anything to happen between here and there

I have sent nice ponies in bubble envelopes to Canada and other countries for years with absolutely no problems. I also seal my ponies in ziplock bags within the envelope to keep them safe/dry in case the bubble envelope encounters water during the trip.

I was just going to say the same as Bluerose, I've received many lovely ponies sent to me from all over the world in a bubble mailer and I've not had any problems at all. As long as the pony is protected (Ziploc baggie, maybe even extra bubble wrap or tissue in between the Ziploc and the envelope) your pony should arrive to them safely :)
