Made in China Vs Made in HK Big Bro's?

I just realized I have 2 daddy..er..the purple one with the hearts... and noticed one had slightly different color symbols then the other. Is there a difference in value between the one made in China and the one made in Hong Kong?

Huh. I've never heard of color differences, but I know there have been size differences among the boys that are made in China vs. the ones made in Hong Kong. Is it just the hues of the colors that were slightly different?

Anyway, I'm not sure there's a difference in value. Just thought the variation was interesting.

It nay be that some of the symbol paint faded but the dots around the hearts are a darker color for the one on the right then the one on the left. Every single one of them is darker

there's 4 of each of the *dads*
pat pend hk
pat pend china
non pat pend china
nc/spanish

the only one that's a higher value than the others is nc/spanish, and it's not a huge difference. *sometimes* I have sell a china dad for slightly more than hk
basically, hk $10-12, maybe up to $15
china usually $12-15
nc/spanish $15-30, usually $20-25
I have all but 2 of the non pat pend china dads (will pay/trade well if anyone has one!

I agree with Roogna there is not really a difference in price between them - mainly because a lot of the time people are not specifically looking for an HK version or a China version...either version will work for them

They were made in different countries, different factories and at different times over the course of time so a slightly colour difference in body and paint is normal. Just a good example of batch differences rather than an intentional difference.

For the most part, I have more than one of each release of the dads... There are always slight color variations (body or paint) between the various releases.

I have not paid any more for my China Pat Pend than the Hong Kong Pat Pend. I have paid a bit more for my China Non-Pat Pend guys though, but I think they are prettier.
